#1 Im writing an essay for my reading class and was wondering what you all think. This is the first paragraph. Im on my second. Elves and humans didn’t normally befriend each other, much less willingly meet, so I guess you could say we were a odd group. There was Entendu the Elf, naturally skilled at archery and stealth, having a keen sense of sight and hearing which was very relevant to him becoming a Ranger, a master of moving in the shadows and taking out enemies from afar. Then there was the elven mage, Athena, like all the other elves, she was tall, thin and white. She was a very intelligent woman with a good memory, which complimented the fact that she was a sorceress, having to memorize complex excerpts from her tome of magic, able to maim the strongest of foes. Last but not least, me, Alixandre the Knight. I am said to be an audacious figure. Handy with a myriad of weapons, I prefer a broadsword to deal with my opposition. We’ve received plaudits from many for our various feats to save the villages and towns from all around. We couldn’t wait to visit the kingdom of Alokforme. We’ve heard stories from the villages and towns we’ve been too, the rolling hills, villages scattered all around, the smells of food wafting through the air everyone working in unison. That’s not what we saw when we got there. Can someone suggest a title? Edit: If youre gonna read, at least post a reply The hills had an awkward silence, as if they were devoid of life. We saw many coils of smoke floating into the air, amassing into a cloud that hovered over the area, the smell of it was enough to stop a person from coming. We rode our horses to the top of a hill overseeing the others to check out what caused the smoke. What we saw perturbed us. The villages had been laid to rubble. The remains of a few houses were left smoldering. The crops and fields were burned. Entendu, with his inhuman sight saw something . He galloped on his snow white steed toward it. After dismounting he gingerly swept his fingers across the print in the ground. He couldn’t recall it completely, but he did see something like the print. He tried as hard as he could. Then it snapped into place. “ I remember seeing this in the Ranger’s Hall. It was the track of a Galwuy, a creature that walked like man but had the attributes of a reptile, group varying from group, some with the persona of snakes, other with the persona of dinosaurs.” “I thought those were extinct.” I replied. Entendu said “So did I. Most knowledge is gone. That was all I have. Now they are talked about in myths. The facts about them were taken to the grave with their owner, who was usually sent to the grave by one of them.” Last edited by Spammerman; 01-02-2007 at 05:22 AM. |

| | I dont tink my teacher would let me use Damned in a title. Im in 8th grade but the principal treats everyone like kindergarteners. Most of next part We had to meet with the Council of Elites. The Council of Elites consisted of the best of different jobs. For example, the best warriors and blacksmiths. Luckily, Athena had the spell to increase the speed and durability of our already specially bred horses. We vied with time, racing towards the Council’s citadel with lightning speed. Four hours passed until we finally reached the prodigious structure. Two short figures, silhouetted against the clear sky kept a vigil on the outlying land. I had forgotten to mention this, but Alokforme was a Dwarven land. The Dwarves were a proud race. They rarely resorted to using words. They’re motto was: A swing of our axe can change the perspective of any discordant imbecile. Though somewhat churlish, it proved true in various occasions. They were legendary for their fighting prowess and strength. Last edited by Spammerman; 01-02-2007 at 06:46 AM. |
