#25 Sorry for the delay, but I've been busy lately and kinda forgot about this thread. EDIT: Complete! --------------- Meanwhile, Zeneth is sitting at the back, laughing his head off. The people around him are looking at him questioningly. One man pokes him in the back of the head. “Hey buddy, could to keep it down? You’re spoiling it for everyone!” Zeneth grins. “Simmer down, old man. We all payed to get in there, right? What makes you so special?” The man bristles. “You’re talking like a kid to wants to get his head beaten in! And I’m the one to do it!” He lands a punch on the back of Zeneth’s head, knocking his hat off. Zeneth, in reply, grabs the man in a headlock, ensuing chaos. A soldier come to investigate and spots Zeneth, without his hat on. “Hey! I know you, you little punk! How’d you sneak in here!” Zeneth is now cornered. “Looks like someone’s spoiling for a fight!” He yells as the first battle of the chapter begins – Zeneth against a couple of guards. After dispatching them, Zeneth heads for the exit, while being attacked by several groups of soldiers. At the exit, his way is blocked by Gagun, which starts a boss battle. Gagun is equipped with a spear and uses the traditional Jump attack. Leah is also in the opponent’s party at the start of the battle, but Gagun orders her to get out of there and she does so. Regardless of the result of the battle, Gagun still blocks Zeneth’s path and pins his rifle arm behind his back. Zeneth then grabs for a bracelet around his neck with a small whistle, and blows on it hard. Sago comes to the rescue, viciously attacking Gagun, who quickly lets go of Zeneth. Zeneth and Sago run out of the theatre, and keep to the back streets. Although Gagun follows them at first, he eventually gets lost among the crowd, and within a few minutes, Zeneth and Sago are out of the city. Cut to later that night, as Zeneth, now changed back onto travelling clothes and Sago are camping out, feasting on meat presumably hunted by the two. “Boy I sure could use that Choconoid right about now” Zeneth says to no-one in particular. Suddenly, a scream breaks the comfortable silence. Stopping only to grab his gun, Zeneth runs to where he believes is the source. A young girl wielding a short sword is trying to fend off half a dozen monsters. Zeneth rushes to her aid, and together with Sago, they defeat all the enemies, at which point the girl collapses from exhaustion… or so Zeneth assumes. However, when he examines her, he sees several bites from the fiends. However, there is little he can do for her at this point, with no transport or medical equipment, so he takes her back to his tent, and sits down in front of a tree, in preparation for a long night of sentry duty. The young man from before is lead to a door by the soldier. “He has waiting in this room for a while. Remember to be polite. The last thing we need is another dissatisfied escort.” “Aren’t I always polite?” The man grins at the soldier, who is still stone-faced. He enters the room and surprised to see that there is just a moogle, nobody else. “So you’re Prince Dermott, kupo? I’m Kamog, nice to meet ya!” “You too, but where’s my escort?” Dermott says, confused. "What are you on about? I'm your escort, kupo! You're going to Wieronant, remember? What were you expecting?" Dermott shrugged. "That they'd hire a mercenary. I was expecting someone a little less... puny." The moogle lets out a yell of protest: "Oy! I'll have you know I'm one of the most powerful mages my country has to offer, kupo!" Their conversation is interrupted by a disturbance coming from the theatre. "Wouldn't you want to check that out?" "Nah. Someone else will handle it. Amyway, we'll leave first thing in the morning." Cut to morning. After first offering access to the various shops that Rocherd has to offer, Kamog and Dermott set off on their journey to Wieronant. The first battle is scripted, and goes like this: Kamog: Watch this, Mr. Bigshot! *Kamog casts Harm on one monster for a one-hit kill. Dermott: That all you got? It's not that useful! Kamog: I have other abilities, kupo... that happen to be a two-edged sword! *Cast Malady, which inflicts Silence on Dermott* Kamog: Hah! Don't see you making any smart comments now! Dermott: ... Kamog: Because I'm such a nice guy, I'll even fix you up, kupo! *Casts Repair, which heals Dermott's status*Dermott: Still, I'm much stronger than you! *Attacks remaining enemy, and misses* Kamog: Don't quit your day job! *Casts Harm again, which kills off second monster* Kamog: Where would you be without me! Kupo! Dermott: Argh!. END BATTLE. After wandering along a long path, with more encounters, the pair finally reach their destination. END OF CHAPTER ONE. P.S. Thanks to exams, I'll be too busy to update after this chapter until December 7, so don't ask me to do any chapters because they won't get done, OK? | | I don't mean to double-post, but here's command lists NOTE: evryone can summon. Zeneth Attack Steal Summon (Bahaumut) Thievery (Thief Skills) Item Leah Attack Focus Summon (Shiva) Black Magic Item Gagun Attack Jump Summon (Ifrit) Dragon Skill Item Dermott Attack Extract (To learn Blue Magic) Summon (Ramuh) Blue Magic item Kori Attack Pray (Restores slight HP and MP to group) Summon White Magic Item Fraiyd Attack Cover (Cover ally to take their damage) Summon (Fenrir) Tactics (Warrior skills, Armor Break, Sentinel, etc.) Item Kamog Attack Boost Up (Boosts Possibility count) Summon (Leviathan) Red Magic* Item Darth Cid Attack Throw Summon (Death) Arcana (Thongs like Death Strike, which kills a foe, Darkness, etc.) Item * Red Magic is magic that's totally random, there is five spells Harm, which hurts at a random level. Heal, which heals at a random level. Random (Which can be anything from Harm On Gagun to Heal on an enemy.) Shield/Weaken Either shields a random ally, or weakens a random enemy. Last, they'res Condition, which is a beneficial status on an ally or a harmful status on an enemy. Note: Healing and Harming can be 1-99999 in use. However, like lvl 1, for example it's minimum is 50, and it's maximum is 350, like that. When you level up, the minimum and maximum increase, like lvl 2 it can be 100-320. Get It? Here's the interface of battle: Zeneth HP: 120/120 MP: 25/25 ATBl------- l LMT l----- l Still, we don't have a battle system done, this is just what it looks like. Last edited by Laddy; 11-20-2006 at 01:54 PM. Reason: Because Arcana isn't a thong called Death Strike! |

| | What, this isn't an RP!!! You though it was!? Sorry, still, it's like it, and you have plenty of room for someone who can write, like you. So I guess, do you mind if we keep Darth Cid? Anyway, I also made Limit Breaks! Zeneth- Shot Slots Line up the slots, all marked with Hit, Critical, Half, Powered, Miss. All of these form a combo, certain times they result in a finishing attack. Example- Critical, Hit, Powered, results in Broken Divide Leah- Magic Fury Cast a bevy of spells, but put them in a good order for added effect! Example: Fira- Blizzaraga- Thundara Results in Firiarana (Fourth level spell.) Gagun- Spearing Sorting Press the buttons when they appear for a mega combo! Dermott- Innsta-Death Automatically gets the enemy's Blue Mage spell, resulting in a repeated tapping of circle to add the affect to the point where the enemy is killed. Maximum-99999 Kori- Potent Cast Increases the value of spells, letting you cast to spells at once! Example= Cura+Protect= Both Curaga and Protectara. Kamog- Mix You know what this is, mix up items to create a super-item! Darth Cid (If he still exists) -Oblivion By hitting the hot spot with X, you manage to deal unholy damage. Fraiyde- Duel Every time you succesfully use a Duel ability every 10 times, you learn more, adding to a combo, making a chain of attacks! HGere's a list of importance to the stroy so far: Zeneth Leah Gagun Dermott Kori Darth Cid Fraiyde Kamog Anyway, get who you can to work on this! Last edited by Laddy; 11-21-2006 at 02:37 AM. |

| | With Kamog, I made him from Wieronant, not Orocaz, since I was intending to pair him with Dermott. I also added two spells to his inventory, to make him more devastating: "Malady", like Harm, but inflicts a random status effect on a random target, and "Repair", which cures the status of a random target. In any case, nice work on the Skills and Limits, Red! ![]() Since we're desperately lacking in the female department, I created one more character! Name: Terma Age: 31 Race: Human Nation: Marshall Class: Gunwoman Weapon: Handguns Personality: Friendly but fiercely independent, Terma wanders around the world, avoiding the war as much as she can. She is one of Hiersker's closest friends, he wants her to settle down (somewhere near where he is, of course), and 'make something of her life'. Appearance: Can't find anything that fits... someone else can fill this in if they want. Command List: Attack Aim (Wait a turn in order to use an a strong attack that never misses.) Summon (Titan) Technology (use items like Grenades, Minesweepers, etc.) Item Limit Break: Trigger Happy (Terma fires a volley of shots at the opponent, depending on how fast you can tap the X button). |

| | Nice, blitz_ling10! I guess I'll finish up the last characters...Quipant Quoile Age:43 Race: Qu Nation: Democratic Dobrey Gender: (People say Qu's don't have genders, they lie!) M Class: Green Mage Weapon: Whip Personality: Unlike the Qu's in FF9, Quipant isn't much of an eater. He spends his time sitting around, enjoying life. Rather different than most Qus, Quipant is more serious and intelligent. Attack Calculate (Replcaes the Scan spell with this) Summon (Siren) Green Magic Item Limit: Morph: Morp hin toa random high-level monster and use it's most poweful attack. Brialette Harper Age:24 Race:Human Nation: Orocaz Class: Monk Weapon: Fists Personality: Lhasal is a smooth and happy young woman with high hopes and confidence, Orocaz's Asian-like style of life made her repectable and quite brave. Attack Blitz (You learn new techniques, and place the button input here) Summon (Quezocotl) Fistniques (Mon abilities) Item Limit: Heaven's Edge, by pressing a more powerful Blitz-like technique, you land a super attack with godly damage) Last edited by Laddy; 11-29-2006 at 11:11 PM. Reason: I changed Lhasal's name to Brialette. |

| | No, you completely warped my character that I've made several RPG Maker XP games about, you don't know his personality, you didn't read through the p-sheet because I already said Darth Cid was a Dark Knight, and I already had two moves on him that I was hoping be used for Limit Breaks. |
