I havent really posted anything i have written before but i want some opinons on this. I am thinking about writting a short story. I wanna know if the topic is too boring OR If it would be Okay.

This is the Historical part:
Back in Quebec in the 1600 the poopulation was quite small and 90% were men and 10% were women. Back in France King Luis wanted to raise the population so that he could win against the english. SO he sent over 900 of the women in france, from the ages of 16-25to find a husband and raise a family. Here is where my story Begins...

I wanna write a story about the life of one of these girls. One that was only 16. I want to write how she felt about it, etc. So what do you think?

I could write about an amazingly exciting event, but if the story's boring then it wouldn't make a difference. Conversely, I've seen many a fantastic story that's about an otherwise very boring topic.

Basically, the topic doesn't count: it's the story that you make from the topic. That's what matters.

So... do you want to write this story? Then why not? Do what you want to do.

You could write about the world's most lackluster subject and make a good story about it. It depends on you, the writer, meaning how much excitement, natural word flow, and captivating power your story contains.

Having an exciting event means that more of a general audience will be attracted to your work. But, lacking a plot and some good characters, you have nothing.

Write, and write well!
