Default [M] "The Exploits of High Pr. Hah-Fas"

According to those I've talked to my organizational skills are quite lacking, but I had fun writing this energetic, piano piece anyway:

**if you don't have the scorch player, here's a free download. It lets you look at the sheet music while you listen.

Here's the piece

....just kidding, I didn't want you guys to listen to it anyway.

That's pretty cool. I think I'd speak for everyone, when I say you should try and get a proper audio recording on piano -- the sound module this Scorch program uses is absolutely horrible.

Hey, if you can't really play piano, you could always check out Melody Assistant, or Harmany Assistant, they have a lot more tools than Scorch and you can export to MP3, WAV, AIFF, whatever! You can also get some propper audio samples and all kinds of really neat real-sounding instruments.

Anyways, just a suggestion. It's good but I bet it'd be a hundred times better if the notes would ring out and have that frequency-texture of a real piano.

Keep up the good work!

I use Sibelius software. There are some add-ons I can get to improve the sound, but they're not cheap; plus my computer is too old and weak to handle them...plus I'm largely computer illiterate...plus, I'll stop making excuses now.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to listen. I guess I can't blame others for not wanting to download the Scorch player.

Oh, I just thought it'd sound really great if you recorded it or gave it a better sound. But other than that I think it is a very good piece -- the pausing was a bit weird at first but it's growing on me.

farplaner, i'm fairly certain that I can convert sibelius files into finale files. If you send me the score I should be able to change the sound quality for you.

I haven't listened to this peice yet, but I will. It's just a pain in the ass to download that plug-in, so I'll do it later. I promise.

You're probably right. I'm glad it's growing on you lol. Those pauses are relevant to the piece. The title is a clue.

Nik: I tried to attach the .sib file to the SibMus chatpage so I could link you to it, but for some reason the attachment isn't showing up...first time that's happened.

Oh, and take your time- no rush!
