#1  What I have done of my FF7 story FF7: Cloud’s Story The Past Prologue!!!! I woke up in my bed in my Nibelheim home. I was raring to get up for my first SOLDIER mission. My mom stopped me, saying, "You have to eat your breakfast first, Cloud. You'll never get strong if you don't eat." I had no choice but to listen. As I began eating, a loud ruckus was heard outside. Sephiroth was giving a speech to the townspeople, "I am going up the Nibel Mountains", he shouted loudly with a serious tone, almost as if he were the president, "in order to study about the one we all surely have heard of.......the Calamity, JENOVA!", he boasted, "She...........nevermind, it's between me and my men. Now, who would like to be our guide?" A young girl ran out, "I will, Tifa of Nibelheim", she said. Sephiroth stared for a second and said, "How bout a picture, as a memento". Zack, the first class soldier, came along into the picture. The flash bursted outside, and just then, I had thrown on my uniform and moved along. Sephiroth welcomed two more soldiers, one of them being myself. We trekked across the Nibel Mountains, and, right when we weren't expecting it, the bridge broke. One soldier was lost, but we didn't bother looking for him. When we reached the reactor I stood guard outside. Zack and Sephiroth went in. Sephiroth began looking at the failures in the capsules. Mako Monsters, failed experiments. Zack looked as well, but immediately fell back, to hear Sephiroth say, "Look at these. Am....am....am I like them. Am I a failed experiment, a........monster!?" He began slashing around at the air, then speed-walked back out the reactor, pushing me out of the way. Zack followed along, only to find Nibelheim, in ruin. Left and right Sephiroth was killing people, "Hey kid your still sane, right?" Zangan, Tifa's master, said to Zack, "You look in that house, I'll look in this one." We began to search, but then, I saw him. Sephiroth the Great, or so I once thought, "No one must know what I will do. No one!" He said, still killing as he spoke,"I am going to meet my mother, and no one will know of it!" When he reached the reactor, Tifa came running to the reactor, to find not only me, just standing there, guard, but her father, inside the reactor, with a sword next to his bleeding body, "FATHER!!!", Tifa shouted, "who.........who did this to you?" He died to quick to say. "Sephiroth.....sephiroth..I HATE YOU!!!!", she yelled as she ran up to the top of the stairs, to try to kill him, but, he quickly grabbed the sword out of her hands and slashed her lightly, knocking her to the ground, "I....hate....all....of....you" she muttered. Zack quickly ran in, "Tifa, what happened?" Tifa was still in pain. She muttered back, "Ssss..eph...i...roth.". Zack ran as fast as he could up the steps, to kill Sephiroth, but he, too, was knocked back, onto a capsule. He lay there, unconscious. I ran in and saw Tifa, "TIFA!" She stared up at me and said, "So you.....did....you kept....our...promise! You....did......." I smiled, and ran up to Zack. He gave me his sword and said, "Finish him. Kill...Sephiroth. I'll....be....fine." Sephiroth stared at the statue-esque Jenova model, "But they.......those worthless creatures...........are stealing the planet from Mother..........But now I'm here with you..........." He tore the statue off the pedestal, and there she was. He stared at Jenova, and then, I wouldn't have it. I thrusted Zack's Buster Sword into the back of Sephiroth, "My town, my friends, my family, GIVE THEM BACK!!!!!" He pushed back and un-impaled himself. He tore off Jenova's head, and turned to face me, "Don't push it kid", he mumbled, and his Masamune went into my chest. But the more it sunk into my skin, the more hate I felt for him. I moved close enough to grab him, "IMPOSSIBLE!!!", he shouted, "but......it can't be!!!!!!!" I threw him into the Mako, and fell, unconscious. Five years later............... I woke up in a tube. I had no idea what was going on. I stared down at my feet, but I could barely even see them. "Life sucks", I thought to myself. Then, a crashing sound was heard next to me. Zack, my best friend, broke out of his tube. He stood in front of mine and broke it. I fell to his feet, not knowing anything, head bobbing, almost mentally retarded feeling. Zack picked up his Buster Sword hidden under a table, left the Nibel Mansion, and hitched a ride with a trucker. He had made me feel so happy, so free, he was a great friend, but I couldn't say it in my state of mind. I just sat next to him, in the back, drooling, bobbing, and sliding back and forth at the truck's recoil after stopping. "So, what are you gonna do.......once we get to Midgar", he said. Every moment I would tone out, like then. I fell back, hitting my head on the dirty ground, then flew back up again. Zack was asking questions about jobs, but the man just gave him obvious answers, "I've got it. We should start a job that'll get us a lot of money. And you'll help, okay?" I toned out again, almost falling asleep, but gave out this time. I stayed awake long enough to hear him say, "We're friends.......right?" I fell straight down. I woke up in a firefight, on the muddy, rained-on ground. Zack was swarmed by soldiers, "Cloud, run!!!!", he shouted, but I was too weak to even move. So I played dead. "He's dead all right," said one soldier, "but....what about him?" They looked at me, I saw them out the corner of my eye, shooting his body, just to make sure he was dead. Right then my anger, my hatred for Shin-ra grew, grew high enough to get me out of my state of near stupidity. I crawled up to him, grabbed his sword, stared at his body, and cried. So much I had never cried like that before. Never.... ________________________________________ _____________________________________ THE PRESENT Chapter 1- Our First Mission I jumped of the train, along with my fellow comrades Biggs, Wedge, Jessie, and Barret. I broke off from the group, being attacked by soldiers while my friends went to open the main doors to the reactor. When we regrouped, they had just finished opening the main door, when an alarm went off, “Come on quick, into the reactor”, Jessie shouted. We ran as quick as we could to escape the horde of soldiers awaiting us outside. The reactor was huge, bigger than any place I had been in my life. I didn’t think it was possible that a place this huge could even exist, but then again, I thought that when I went to any tall place. We reached the room in which we would set the bomb. Barret kept yelling at me to set it but I was persistent, and kept telling him to. He said, “I can’t set the bomb, I have to make sure you don’t do anything stupid”. However, something happened that was a little uncalled for. The guardian of the reactor, a mega-SOLDIER, the Guard Scorpion. Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge were waiting outside for us, not knowing of the Scorpion in here. I had found a Materia, but didn’t have time to use it. We fought it, attacking left and right, when finally it raised it’s tail, “I know about this”, I said, “Don’t attack while the tail is up, or it will counterattack with a powerful move”. We stood stoic, healing with potions while we could. It lowered the tail, and eventually, we destroyed it. I heard a slight beeping sound in the back, and noticed a timer appear where the bomb was set, “TEN MINUTES TO DETONATION”, it said. The minute I heard that said over the intercom, I ran, fast, with Barret following behind. Halfway through I allowed Barret to go ahead, as I ran to get Jessie, “Urgh, my foot, it’s stuck”, she said. Her foot was caught between two rails in the ground, but I tugged easily and pulled it out without harming her, “Thanks”, she said! We ran straight down the main pathway, to find Wedge working on a door, and, as it opened, we jumped out, as the reactor exploded above us. The flame raised high up to almost break the windows of the Shinra building. Wedge came jumping out, rolling to try to get the flame off his clothes. Right then, Barret ordered us to move, “Where’s my pay?” I said. He immediately replied, “You’ll get it when you get to the base.”. I gave him an awkward look and said, “I already told you, this one mission, and then I am done. So gimme my pay!” He refused again and walked away. I decided to break away from the group, so I went the opposite direction, hopping the gate to Midgar Square, picking up random Potions as I went. Along the way I ran into a girl, “Oh hello there.”, she said. I looked at her, noticing she was selling flowers, “You don’t see too many flowers growing around here in Midgar nowadays do you?” She smiled, saying, “No. Would you like to buy one. There only a gil” I bought one, waved, and walked away. I was immediately surrounded by Soldiers. I looked around for an opening to get out. I couldn’t find one. However, a train was near, underground. When I came out of the tunnel, I jumped onto the top of the train car. Inside I heard familiar voices. Voices of Biggs, Wedge, Jessie, and I could definitely hear Barret in there. So I pulled off a sneaky little trick. I flew through the door of the train, “CLOUD!” they all said in unison. Yes I did return. For my pay, I thought to myself. Everyone congratulated me, but I got really confused as to why. I broke away from the group, went alone, and then scared the crap out of everyone by bashing through a train door. Don’t get it. I kept thinking to myself, but nothing. So I followed to the base. Tifa saw me immediately, saying, “Long time no see, Cloud!” CHAPTER 2- Reunited With A Friend I stared at Tifa, and she stared back. I knew she felt the urge to give me a big fat hug, but I decided to give her the flower first, “Oh, it’s beautiful! I’ll go put this in a vase!” When she went to put it in the vase, I noticed Barret ask me how to use materia, but I decided to do it another time. Teaching him would be a hassle, I thought. I went downstairs, using the “pinball machine” elevator. Meeting Biggs Wedge, Jessie, and Barret, who had literally smashed Biggs up against the wall, “I told you Barret, I want my pay, because once I get it I’m outta here.” I decided to just go back up and leave now, but Tifa stopped me. “Why are you leaving?” She asked me, but I didn’t reply, “Don’t you remember our childhood, we used to be so close, and now, now what?” Then I said, “But, I already told you, after this one mission....” She stopped me, “Yeah, but I want you to stay here. Don’t you remember the promise we made?” I got a little confused, “Promise?”, I replied. She looked at me, saying, “Come on you don’t remember? Ugh........it was seven years ago............................” SEVEN YEARS AGO (FLASHBACK) “It was getting cold, and I thought you’d never come”,. Those words rang in my head over and over, and I began to remember.........that I wanted to be in SOLDIER, and that I was going to leave the town forever. But then you said, “Let’s make a promise. Cloud, if I’m even in a bind, you come and rescue me, okay” I began to remember more, and how, 2 years after that promise was made, I came and kept that promise, in the Nibel reactor......... PRESENT “Tifa, but........” She gave me puppy dog eyes, “Please? I want you to work with us, please” I thought about it, and then, I said, “Make my pay 3000 for this one and we’ll make it a deal” Barret walked up, and threw me my 1500, and then heard me and said, “Th..th...three THOUSAND! No way, man.....” Tifa whispered in his ear. He agreed. CHAPTER 3 REACTOR NO. 1 |
