Default Showing off my guitar skills

I've been playing guitar since middle school, but took a bit of a break after I left my old band last year until I picked it back up a couple months ago. I thought I'd share a few videos with you guys.

Oh yeah, and for some reason Photobucket messed up the syncing on ALL of my videos, so try not to let that bother you too much.

Taken at least a month ago, probably longer.

These next three were taken not more than a week ago.

I'd show off my insane guitar abilities but no one here is really worthy.

Nice pictures though I couldn't get the movies to load.

All you have to do is click on the image to be taken to the site with the player, then click play and watch.

Did you do that?

are you actually playing songs there?

They were pretty good, but some variety would have been nice. Most of the songs (or riffs) sounded the same.

Stay Essential

Yes and no. I was playing parts of songs from my old death metal band. And the reason they probably all sound the same to you is because they're all death metal songs from the same band.

That was actually very enjoyable - it caused me to recall my days of performing onstage in a small progressive metal band called Cicatrix. Yet, I never played guiter, just some keyboard and sang and wrote the lyrics and music...

I liked the second one the most.

However, you may wish to add some melody to them, mix them up, instead of just the incessant fast-paced thrasher feel, as that can quickly grow old and boring. You make mention that they were taken from your band of old, so not being able to hear the complimentary drums and so on and so forth may cause one to grow a little tired of the fast-paced guitar.

Overall though, I will say that I enjoyed watching this, both for rememberance's sake and also seeing that someone actually continues to wail.

I can't believe I didn't see your post earlier. Thanks for the kind words. But yeah, I understand what you mean about it getting old without any accompaniment.

If at all possible, I'll try to get some actual band footage.

Hey not bad, it all seems a bit repetitive. But I really haven't listened to things like that for a very long time. (To be really honest, around 5 years ago I stopped listening to Pantera, Metallica, and a few other bands like that).

Not sure if you're interested in anything blues or whatever, but you could try and incorporate that into your work, it'd make it really interesting. If you want an idea have a look at some Slash's Snakepit -- he manages to do it pretty well.
