[Rinion]

I am indeed new here, and being a poet of sorts, my first post will be one of my more recent pieces. Comments, suggestions and the like are welcome and appreciated.

Weep not for the agéd, the ill or the weak;
Weep not for the blind, nor the poor or the meek.
For never a life will you find such as strong
As a life that has lived so hard for so long.

Weep for the Lords, for the rich and the high,
Though poverty’s sad fortunes dost quick pass them by;
Weep for the mighty, the proud, the naive,
For only the humble shall ever be freed.

Weep not for the tortured, weep not for the lame;
But weep for the kingly, for hell is their bane.
Weep not for the broken, weep not for the low;
Yet weep for the crowned, their own deaths do they sew.

Weep not for the fallen, forsaken or fell;
Yet weep for the great, their great fortune is hell.
Weep not for the breathless, forgotten in gloom;
Yet weep for the high, their own might it their doom.

Ah, thank you. Been some time since i've been here as my computer has been rather naughty as of late and things of great import have come up. But I do thank you for the compliments.

Nice job. I really like that. It seems like some kind of poem from a fantasy book. I love those poems they give stories depth. I really liked the imagery. I just really liked it.
