[Flying Mullet]

there once was a mime
who had a good time
composing a rhyme
while eating a lime

along came a bear
wearing pink underwear
and had silky brown hair
who had to stop and stare

said the bear to the mime
would you compose your rhyme
if it was a crime
to do so while eating a lime

signed the mime to the bear
you gave me a scare
but I do not care
as without lime I do err

then the bear mauled the mime
cleaned off any grit and grime
seasoned him with lime
and dinner was a good time

the mime and the bear
brushed each other's hair
with love and care
for they were a fabulous pair

signed the mime to the bear
must we stay in your lair
i tend my home with care
we can spend the night there

replied the bear to the mime
you whine all the time
and always sign in rhyme
so the bear ate the mime

the mime owned a fox
who was locked in a box
with many locks
down by the docks

the mime visits every day
and the fox would say
in this box i am gray
why must my life be this way

the mime would sign to the fox
i keep you under locks
to protect you from the pox
that's covering the docks

thus the fox was sad
for life was bad
but he did not get mad
for a plan he had

one day when the fox stopped by
the open box caught his eye
next to it the fox did lie
for the fox was wry

signed the mime to fox
why did you leave your box
covered in locks
protecting you from pox

to the mime the fox replied
i could have died
thus i did stride
to open the side

how did you open your box
signed the mime to the fox
for it was covered in locks
and safe on the docks

the fox held up a lime
and pointed back to the climb
there stood a bear in its prime
and it ate the mime

the mime wanted to prove
that he could bust a move
to the funky groove
but he had to improve

so the mime learned to dance
and his skills did advance
thus each dance did enhance
and watchers were held in trance

but he wasn't the best
and to beat the rest
he must truly be blessed
for the dance guru did he quest

over rivers he did row
and trudged through deep snow
but he never did slow
for he wanted to grow

arriving at the guru's lair
he cried out in despair
for the guru was a bear
and he ate the mime there

whenever you read a rhyme
with silly words like lime
you feel sorry for the mime
hoping he'll survive this time

for there's always a bear
who makes you cuss and swear
because he will never spare
the mime sitting there

but what you must understand
is their fate has been planned
no matter how much you demand
even if you command

so in every rhyme
even with a silly word like lime
the bear eats the mime
e-v-e-r-y t-i-m-e
