#1  Tales of a Twisted Mind Alright, I'll be writing a series of unrelated short stories and posting them up here. They will range anywhere from 1/2 - 2 pages long in Mircrosoft word, Size 12 font. Some of them, like this first one, were inspired by posts from my fellow EoFFers, though not all of them will be. And I'll give bonus points to whoever can guess where the inspiration for my first twisted tale comes from. Take a Journey with me. My girlfriend had invited me over for some reason or another. It seemed rather important, so I dropped my plans with my brother to come see her. I pulled up to her house in my red convertible just outside of her house in the suburbs. I approached the door to her house wondering what was to happen. I knocked twice and waited until she answered the door. Her bright red lips lit up with a giants smile as she looked at me with her shining blue eyes. Running a hand through her long blond hair, she said, “Thank you for coming, come on in and have a seat, I have something very important to give you.” With those words she took off up a staircase in the living room, and I decided to have a seat on the recliner as I awaited her return. It didn’t take long for her to get back, and when she did she was holding a book and handed it to me. She didn’t need to say what to do, so I opened the book and began reading. The first page struck me as odd, for all it had was a picture of her sister and her husband. I was reminded how much she looked like her older sister, the only real difference being that she had green eyes instead of blue. The picture was the two of them having a picnic. Though what also caught my attention was how much I looked like the man in the picture. His hair was long though, just like mine use to be, until my girlfriend had me cut it anyways. The picture seemed nostalgic for some reason though, but I decided not to dwell on it and switched to the next page. There was another picture of her sister and husband on a date, though they seemed a bit older and the guy had cut his hair to where it currently looked like mine. They dressed in swimsuits at the local water park, and then I remembered that me and my girlfriend went there after a month of dating, just after she had gotten me to cut my hair. That’s when I realized the reason for the first picture being so nostalgic was that me and my girlfriend had a picnic on our first date as well. This was starting to creep me out a little, so I looked up to me girlfriend, who just nodded as though she wanted me to keep reading. I nervously turned the pages and began to realize that the dates and major events in me and my girlfriends relationship seemed to follow along exactly like her sisters. The guy her sister married was a lot like me as well. Though I wasn’t scarred until the last few pages, containing pictures of her sisters wedding and the handwritten line, “Will you go on this journey with me?” One last time, I looked up nervously at my girlfriend, who had moved just inches away from my face. I looked into her eyes, noticing at some point she put in green colored contacts. However not even the color of her eyes could cover the demented look she gave me as she said the words, “Make me happy like my sister.” |
