[P] All For Nothing?

The task previously at hand is over,
We did it. Hooray!
You could say that,
But while you were being congratulated
and others were gaining items,
I'm stuck.
Stuck with nothing.
Did I go all for it just to end it.
End it empty handed.
Without so much as a battle scar,
Or even a trophy,
To show what I've accomplished.
No fantasic prize,
No one to hold,
Not a damn thing.
You may say I gain something mentally.
You know it's a load.
A load of crap.
I guess what I'm saying
is that I'm more empty.
Empty in love, so to speak.
Maybe I didn't try the extra bit.
Maybe I tried to much.
Next time I'll learn.
I may not even try.
Not even try at all.
