[I Am Stoner]

The streets covered in blood
Separated by beliefs
Something so sad
Yet burns so deep
The shot of bullets
Echo all around
The men in battle
Fall to the ground
They do not fight for just one
But for each other
For their brothers
They fight back to back
Some even give their own lives
To save their fellow men
Not thinking why or when
But because they care
Because they are the ones there
Battle brothers fight to the death
To their last breath
Do not blame them for what they do
Do not hate them too
I do not condone war
But for them I sing their law
Even at a loss, not understood
They protect more than we ever could
People will make fun
But most of them would run
In the heat of battle
They would scattle
But none of the soldiers are zero
Everyone of them is someone’s hero

Although I've not got too far, I have to say this is the better poem of what I've read today when slowly going through this forum.
