#1 I'm ashamed to post this because I don't think it's that great (lol trying to compete with Nec) but Rye requested that I do and reassures me it's better than I think, so here it is ![]() My dear girl deserves an unreserved And unapologetic Declaration of affection But these lines are too short and so I shall expand And expound an alphabetic arrangement Of my ardent ardor and longing lust And how unjust for all the rest that I alone should have this best This girl so grand that though I lack the finesse to express My rapturous romance for my truest treasure I still seek to make a check in this game of chess against The words of this language, but even I must acquiesce To the imperfection of these words and this insufficient cadence In my conation to confess the magnetic pull of my sweet Jess --- Edit: I'm in the mood for poetry so I changed this thread to be more encompassing of those. Edit 2: Can some kindly mod change the thread title to this post's title? I didn't realize they were different things until I just saw it now. Thanks much ![]() Last edited by I'm my own MILF; 03-06-2008 at 02:55 AM. Reason: Changed title |

| | Thanks guys. xD Justin - I say that you're good because you ARE good. I think your most recent poem was better than mine. Edit: New poem. I call it Flame. It starts with A spark The head of a match struck against black sandpaper Unsuccessful at first But he perseveres He doesn't know he can get burnt Strike Strike Strike! Spark Spark Spark! The last one catches something and bursts Minuscule conflagration His eyes take in the burning point A mote without a station Cups hands gently around it The flame takes hold! The fuel suffices Burns yellow, gold His face is now lit up Himself an avatar of fire Fuelled now growing now larger now (or closer now?) The spark grows to a burning match The dark no match for the growing patch Of light cast by the bonfire That he almost missed, already a pyre Larger and higher and hotter and brighter Now it's the size of a world, a star Now seen from afar He adorns the sun as his crown And from his throne he looks around Two glints Inspection reveals two beautiful spheres Two worlds, but surely rocks would not Be carved like two perfect breasts? His two rabid eyes inspect what appeared Now his queen is quite forgotten Last edited by I'm my own MILF; 03-05-2008 at 12:11 AM. Reason: New poem added |

| | Thanks, Anno Domini. Flame's not as good as the others, I admit, but it's has a special purpose. Tireless Ten thousand steps to feel her breath Ten thousand more to caress my Lenore Yards and leagues of highway ahead Every step foreshadows our bed Sometimes I stumble, sometimes I trip But never do I forget my remit My singular oath to my Princess To protect her through any distress My body might form an adequate shield My words can repel much that is evil And if the suffering wells within her own heart I'll build a machine and delve to displace My miniature form shall seek and explore Through lungs or veins, into valve and door To locate the source of this dolor And finding that spring of sorrow To stop it up wholly With whatever I find And if nothing presents To launch my body inside And there be the shield Forever in place To thereby placate And to be the blockade |
