Im not the best of poets but when im feeling something, i can string together a few words.

What I’m worried about is that it's fleeting,
This unconditional love.
That once it's gone, you'll feel empty,
Because what we have is so unheard of.

I'm worried that ill be lonely,
Once you've gone away.
It’s not so much the abandonment,
But the fact that I wanted you to stay.

I feel so much safer barricaded,
And hidden behind my wall.
Keeping you at a distance,
Almost assures me that'll never fall.

And as much as I’ll want you to catch me,
I honestly know you can't always be there.
I feel vulnerable when I depend on you.
So I push you away even if it's unfair.

It hurts me too, to do that,
You just have no idea how much I ache.
This feeling is scary,
And I dunno how much more I can take

They say nothing lasts forever,
But I hope that this isn't one of those things.
Because I think your pretty special,
One of those delicacies destiny brings.

And as happy as, I am now,
As complete my life seems to be.
When I’m alone like this,
I can’t help but wonder if this is good for me

Now I don't know what I’m saying,
Or what I’m trying to convey to you.
Sometimes this just isn't easy,
But I know this, I love you.

And even in my fear,
I’ll try for you again and again.
Because you take care of me,
And you’re a true friend.
