#1  Laddy's Amazing Race, Episode 1: "In This Race You Run!" This is Episode 1 of my TAR Fanfic, please see Episode 0, Meeting The Teams thread before viewing! Otherwise, you will not know who these people are! (I will provide a link to it soon.) The teams pull up in their ferries, and all teams slowly walk towards Beale Street near Phil. They do not know each other, however, the looks on their face show many emotions. As they finally meet up with Phil, surrounding him in a semicircle, Phil begins to speak. Phil "In just a few moments, you will embark on an amazing journey. The first clue of the Race is on top of the luggage you brought with you, what you do after that is completely up to you. There are thirteen pit stops in this race, ten of which are elimination points, if you are last at these pitstops, you will be eliminated. However, the first team at the Finish Line at the last leg will win, one million dollars!" The crowd cheers as this is announced. Phil "Are you ready? Get ready, travel safe," Phil raises his hand and says, "Go!" as his hand drops and the team begins a mad dash to their first clue. As the teams run, the first team grabs their bags a clue and rips it open several seconds before the others. Zach/Emma (Dating) Currently 1st Zach opened the clue and began reading, "Take a cab to the Pyramid..." Announcer Phil "Teams must grab a taxi and direct them to the Pyramid in Memphis appromately 2 miles form Beale Street, this event landmark, very near to the Mississippi River, is where they will find there next clue." "Alright! We one hundred and thirty-five dollars for this leg," said Emma, happily counting the bills. "Let's go, Zach!" The chipper couple ran to a cab and entered, pointng to the Pyramid. Raven/Axel (Dating/Bandmates) Currently 2nd "Go to Pyramid, Axel," said Raven eagerly. Axel replied ecstatically, "Hell yeah, we're on the Amazing Race! Let's go!" The couple then looked for a taxi. Brianna/America (Sisters) Currently 3rd "Pyramid, Brianna! Awesome! We know where that is," said America chipperly. Brianna then grabbed the clue and ran off. Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Currently 4th "Ok, the Pyramid," chirped Doris enthusiatically. Marty, also enthuastic, replied, "I think I know where it is, Dor." The older couple then ran off for the clue. Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Currently 5th "Hurry, Damon, we gotta go fast, in this race you run," said Rob intensely. "Alrighty, let's roll," answered Damon. Christie/Ali (Newly Dating College Buds) Currently 6th "Okay, Christie, let's go," Ali said. "Alright, let's start this thing!" Bunny/Sapphire (Exotic Dancers) Currently 7th "Okay, the Pyramid, we're off," Sapphire said to Bunny. Bunny pointed an shouted, "There's a taxi," and they ran to grab the first cab. Albert/Tyler (Father/Son) Currently 8th "Come on, Al," said an excited Tyler, "go quickly!" Albert lagged and finallt caught up with his son, "Okay, Tyler," whined Al. George/Pauline (Married 45 Years) Currently 9th "Oh, the Pyramid! How nice," said George. "We know where that is Geroge, let's go," Pauline said gittily. Chris/Ryan (Online Friends) Currently 10th "Dammit, Chris, hurry up," complained the giant of a man, Ryan. Chris read the clue, "Pyramid? Never heard of it, let's go, Rye," said Chris said while snatching the clue. John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) Currently 11th "JACKIE, HURRY UP," shouted John. Jackie, who had tripped, caught up with her fiancce, "I heard we're going to the Pyramid, let's go," said Jackie. Ed/Gina (Dating 10 Years) Currently Last "Ed, get the hell oiver here and get the damn clue," said Gina, while Ed was carrying what too much. Ed was so far behind, all the teams had got into their taxis..." Just ast this happened, the TAR intro music began playing... After a flsh of world images, the screen reads, '12 Teams of 2.' After this, it shows two Hispanic women, one with dark curly hair, and one with dark straight hair, they looked very similair, it showed them both playfully punching each other, as text that read 'Brianna/America' appeared, after that, it showed an elderly couple walking on beach, text reading, 'George/Pauline.' Next, is showed an older man and his son, the father was walking as his son jumped on his back and took his glasses, the text then read, 'Albert/Tyler.' Then a man with a beard and mohawk and a much smaller woman were playing music, ther man drumming, the woman singing, the tex shone as it read, 'Raven/Axel.' Next, two a bald man and a red-haired woman were writing on pieces of paper, the tex then read as, 'Ed/Gina.' Next, it showed a chubby man and a smaller man both walking dogs, the tex emerged and was read as, "Rob/Damon." After this, the text then showed an African-American woman and man in their 40's sitting on a sofa, holding hands, the text later emerged as, 'Marty/Doris.' Later, it showed a dark-haired woman and a Middle Eastern man both studying text and laughing gently, the text then read, 'Christie/Ali.' The scene was now a dance club in where two attractive young women danced suggestively in party clothes on a dance floor, the text then read as, 'Bunny/Sapphire.' A small mand and women were now swinging on swings the text then emerged and read, 'Zach/Emma.' The video was now a small Asian man with spiky hair and glasses and a much larger African American man with muscles, the two were playing on a DDR-like pad and they turned around for a double-step to face the scrren, trhe text appared and read, 'Chris/Ryan.' Finally, a man and woman were praying in a Protestant manner at a table, the text finally read as, 'John/Jackie.' With all the teams shown in the intro, the music dulls and more flashes appear until the scrren was finally, 'The Amazing Race.' | | This is a continuation of Part 1 above. Please read this before this part of the episode. Zach/Emma (Dating) Currently 1st Emma was excited when reading the clue. She kept reading it over and over in excitement. "Oh my gosh, Zach, I still can't believe we're actually racing," said Emma, "it's amazing!" Zach, even more excited than Emma chirped, "It's about four miles, turn right!" However, that was not the right way, and another team quickly passed them. Raven/Axel (Dating Bandmates) Currently 1st "Hell yeah, Raven, I'm glad we know this place," shouted an ecstatic Axel. Raven, however, kept her cool, "Yeah, we've been here a few times for Battle of the Bands with our other band members, so, yeah." Soon the taxi stopped directly in front of the third largest pyramid in the world. The rock couple quickly raced fairly ahead of the other teams, grabbing the clue. With this, Axel began to read. "Enter the Pyramid and proceed to the top by elevator, it is here where you will find your next clue." Announcer Phil "Teams must now take an elevator inside the Pyramid and proceed to the top, once there, teams will find their next clue." "Alright, we're first," cheered Axel. However, the observant Raven looked ahead, "Damn, Axie," said Raven affectionately, "those gay guys are here." Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Currently 2nd Damon ripped open the clue with Rob anxiously waiting on his left. "Alright, procced to the top," read Damon aloud. "Let's get ready to haul butt up that elevator." Raven, Damon, Rob, and Axel all got into the elevator at the exact same time. As they were riding up, three other teams reached their clue. John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) Currently 3rd Jackie was reading while John impatiently listened. "Alright, so those two teams already got that elevator, looks like the black couple behind us and the sisters will be with us." John looked at his trailing opponents grimly, "Looks like we'll all be equals. Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Currently 4th "Okay, elevator," read Marty. "That dosen't seem too bad, let's go fast before other teams arrive, Doris." Doris was, however, already ahead of him, "Marty! Come on!" Brianna/America (Sisters) Currently 5th "Ready for our fast task, Brianna," asked America. Brianna nodded quickly, "Alright, let's go." The elevator finally finished its long ride up and the two teams with a significant lead of five minutes grabbed their clues. Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Raven/Axel (Dating Bandmates) Damon and Axel were the first at the clue. They both opened and Damon read, both to his partner and his opponents, "Roadblock, who is willing to slide ahead?" Announcer Phil "A roabblock is a task only one person may perform, in this roadblock, one member of the team must put on some gear and reach a ladder that will take you to the top of the Pyramid, once there, the racers will be strapped in and will slide down the entirety of the Pyramid until they reach the very ground. Once there, they will be handed their next clue." Raven/Axel "HELL YEAH, I'm doing it," yelled Axel. "Fine, just learn to calm down, ok," said Raven. Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Damon made up his mind, "You do it, honey." Rob replied with an affirmation and prepared to be strapped in. Axel "I was pumped up, man. I mean, I was pysched," said Axel in an interview, "Everyone who knows me knows I'm one for intense stuff. And this is just perfect for me." The crew behind the task strapped Axel up and asked, "Ready, Axel?" Axel gave a quick 'Rock On' gesture and was pushed down the Pyramid. "HELL YEAH, MAN! YEAH," screamed Axel, while sliding. Once hit reached the bottom, Raven was waited for him. As Axel unbuckled himself, he said, "Raven, that was awesome! It was so unreal." Raven gave a slight smile, "I knew you'd love it, babe Now let's open our clue." Rob Rab was nervous and said in an accompanying interview, "I'm pretty intense, but his isn't for me, I mean, come on! I'm a chubby gay guy, i'm not supposed to be kayaking and skydiving." Once he was strapped in, a crew member asked if hew was ready and Rob replied, "Y..yeah." The then pushed him and Rob was quickly sliding and fast speeds. "Holy cow," yelled Rob, "This is so cool!" Once Rob fell down to the ground, the three teams behind them caught up, and two new teams just reached the Pyramid... This is Part 2 of the episode, Part 3 countinues in the post below. |

| | Brianna/America (Sisters) Marty/Doris (Married Parents) John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) The three teams finally reached the top. They ran to the clue as America, Marty, and John all opened the clue. "Roadblock, who's willing to slide ahead," read America, "I'll do it." Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Currently 4th "You do it, Doris, I'll do the next one," read Marty. "Hell no, Martin, you do it, my leg hurts, I hit while getting into the taxi," retorted Doris. John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) Currently 5th "I'll do it, Jackie," commanded John, "because I won't be fearful, for God is with us, and those heathens below us may catch up..." Jackie replied, "Fine, go ahead." Christie/Ali (Newly Dating College Buds) Currently 6th "Okay, so let's proceed to the top," said Ali, giving an analysis. Christie looked up, "Dude, I definetely wanna slide down that. I think that's what wer're gonna do. Bunny/Sapphire (Exotic Dancers) Currently 7th "So... we go up that? Sweet," said Sapphire. Bunny was nervous, so she said in an interview, "I'm afraid of heights, always have, y'know, I just don't like staying so high up, I always get the impression that I am constantly falling." The two 'dancers' proceeded up and got into the elevator with the college couple around their age. Raven/Axel (Dating Bandmates) Currently 1st "Drive ten miles to the Liberty Bowl," read Axel. Announcer Phil "Teams must now drive about ten miles to the Liberty Bowl, a large stadium in which many games are played, it is here where they will find their next clue." "Great, Raven, let'so go." Axel was running to the street and called 'Taxi,' bur Raven stopped him, "Axel, we're supposed to drive. there." Axel stood still, "Where do we get our cars, then?" Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Currently 1st "Great, Damon, we've finally beat those freaks," said an excited Rob, while driving a car. The couple was on their way to the stadium. America America was sliding down the Pyramid when suddenly, she hit the ground. She got up, unbuckled herself and replied, "That was awesome," she cheered. The sisters were handed their clue, "There's the cars over there, what a second, there's the black couple, let's step on it," said Brianna. The two then ran and got into their car and drove off, "I think we beat those rockers out of here." Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Currently in 4th "Ok, the Liberty Bowl, honey," said Marty," let's go!" The couple ran off screenandto the cars parked right out of the building on the left. Raven/Axel (Dating Bandmates) Currently 4th "Axel! You're going the wrong way," cried Raven. Axel, who was pumped as usual, was two miles the wrong way, "F@#$," he cried, "damn, we've gotta make up that lost ground!" Zach/Emma (Dating) Chris/Ryan (Online Buds) Ed/Gina (Dating 10 Years) Albert/Tyler (Father/Son) George/Pauline (Married 45 Years) Tied for Last There was a huge traffic jam. An unheard of traffic jam. So bad, five teams were stuck in it. Ali Sapphire They were both sliding down the Pyramid at the same time, once they both hit the bottom, they both read their clue and Christie came up with an idea, "Hey, girls, wanna share a car?" "Sure, we'll ge there faster," replied Sapphire. Sapphire said in an accompanying interview, "We've already got an alliance going with Christie and Ali, they are both open-minded and nice people, so hopefully, by working together, we can do better." Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Currently 1st The gay couple were the first at the stadium they got there and looked hard for their clue, but could not find it. "Damn, where is it," said Damon. Brianna/America (Sisters) Currently 2nd "Alright, we're here, park it, America," said Brianna. The car was parked and the girls looked for their clue. "Look, it's the gay guys," said America. The sisters looked hard and eventually found thir clue after six minutes, "Brianna, I've found it," cried America. The sisters ripped open their clue, "Travel to The Pit Stop on Mud Island." Announcer Phil "Teams must travel ten miles to Mud Islan, a small island made entirely of mud, which has a map of the the entire Missippi River carved on it, tis is the first Pit Stop of the race. The last team to check in could be eliminated." "Alright, I'll tell the gay guys." "Guys, over here, it's the Pit Stop," shouted Brianna to Rob and Damon they passed the clue to them as they ran and got into their car and drove to Mud Island. Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Currently 3rd Doris shouted to her husband, "Park the damn car, Martin!" The car was quickly parked. Brianna/America and Rob/Damon zoomed past them as they ran for the clue. "There it is, Marty," said Doris, pointing at the clue box. The married couple ran to the box, as Marty opened and read it, "Go to the Pit Stop, Mud Island," read Marty, "Alright, we're ahead the other teams, Doris!" The couple raced back into their car to catch up with the other teams. John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) Currently 4th "Lord, please, help us find the clue quickly," prayed Jackie, while John parkedd the car at the Liberty Bowl. The couple got out and began searching. Zach/Emma (Dating) Currently 8th Emma ripped open the clue at the Pyramid, for they were the first out of the traffic jam. "Go up the Pyramid by elevator," read Emma intently. "There was a huge traffic jam earlier back, and we're just tickled we were the first out of it now," said Zach in an interview, "hopefully, no ther team are ahead of us. Bunny/Sapphire (Exotic Dancers) Christie/Ali (Newly Dating College Buds) Tied for 5th The two allied teams reached the Liberty Bowl and quikcly searched for their clue. Raven/Axel (Dating Bandmates) Currently 7th The couple also finally found their car and reached the Bowl, they got out and joinde the other two teams for clue searching.  | Some random thoughts. Wow, Doris, okay --- bossy much? Hopefully the race will improve her communication, 'cause I wouldn't want to be her husband, with her talking like that. Raven/Axel, certainly a strong team, though I'm not sure I'm entirely satisfied with some of their behavior. John/Jackie --- as Miss Alli at Television Without Pity always says, "God is in the tub." Run your own race, because you're not heavenly favored over other teams. Not bad, so far. Could maybe a be a bit longer, a bit more depth. Looking forward to the final part. Wonder who's eliminated... |

| | Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Currently 2nd The two were in a car on their way to Mud Island. "Damon, we need to reach La Sisters," cheered Rob. The two eventually reached the island, when suddenly, there was a tram that lead to the island, it just left, "Dammit, the sisters beat us," said Damon. They sat down. Brianna/America (Sisters) Currently 1st The sisters eventually reached the island, they saw two directions, left or right. "Let's go right," said America and the sisters had a mad dash to the Pit Stop. Marty/Doris (Married Parents) Rob/Damon (Boyfriends) Marty and Doris had caught up to the young couple once Rob and Damon boarded the next tram shortly after, as the two teams ran left and took a rushing dash to the first and most important Pit Stop. The music was rising, building up, Marty and Doris were in the lead, then Rob and Damon, then Marty and Doris again. Marty and Doris were in the lead, as Phil and a Blues ensemble were in sight, who was it? Who was it!?!?!?!?!? The first team reached the Pit Stop. "Welcome to Memphis, Tennessee," cheered the Blues band. "Rob and Damon, Marty and Doris," Phil said suspensefully, "you are both tied for team number one!" The two couple hugged their respective partners, then high-fived the other team's member nearest them. "Now, as the winners of the first first leg of the race, you have won $20,000 per team. "Oh my god," cried Rob. The two men kissed each other on the checks as Marty and Doris hugged each other. "So how does it feel to win the first leg of the race, "It's fantastic, we certainly have shown the younger teams what we are made of," said Marty and the teams hugged each other once again. Phil Keoghan "Brianna and America," said Phil, "you're team number three!" The two sisters high-fived, "Alright," shouted Brianna. John/Jackie (Engaged Evangelists) After looking several feet away from the other teams, John and Jackie found their clue. "Don't tell them, Jackie," John then grabbed the clue and ran off.
