“Random Nexus is approaching,” Kari said.

Chapter 8
Circling Hades

A bright white light enveloped Tyler has his body moved forward. Then it felt as some force pushed him out into weird land. He looked around; the sky was multi-colored and rocks where floating in place. He was in a barren wasteland with nothing but a sword sticking out of the ground. Thinking it was the resting place of a fallen hero, Tyler moved on.

“FOOL!” A shaky feminine voice yelled from the abyss.

“What?” Tyler yelled, looking around.

“YOU WHO DID NOT PICK UP THE SWORD HAVE SIGNED YOUR DEATH WARRANT! ICE GRAVE!” the voice yelled. A sword appeared from the abyss and struck the ground producing ice cycles rushing at Tyler.

“Waaahhhaarrgggg!” Tyler yelled as the ice hit him.

“Oh crap! I over did it. No no no no nonono! He’s dead! I killed my partner! Crap, crap, crap! I’m not any good at being a bad guy,” a female was panicking at the feet of Tyler. She wasn’t human though. She had dark blue hair cut shoulder length and horns jutting from her forehead. Her skin was a very pale blue color. She wore a white halter top, baggy white cloth pants, and blue pointed shoes that curled at the end.

“Uhh…,” Tyler groaned.

“He groaned! That means he’s alive and I didn’t kill him and I want get in trouble! I know I need to use a stamina health elixir thing! Maybe I should have learned healing stuff like my sister, Lethe. Oh well, no time to fret over that. I found the potion thingy! I hope it works on humans,” she said as she opened it and poured the contents on Tyler. The liquid seeped into his wounds and sealed them up.

“What happened?” Tyler said setting up.

“I’m so sorry! You were supposed to grab that sword and then we were suppose to spar and then we’d be partners. But, you didn’t grab the sword so I thought I could teach you about reaction speed. I’m sorry. I’m a bad teacher and you almost died,” her eyes were starting to swell up.

“Are you my elemental?” Tyler asked.

“Y-yes. I-I’m Co-co-cocytus,” her voice was starting to shake. “I know b-both Ice and Dark elements,” she said in a big breathe. She started taking faster breathes. “I’m not as smart as my sister or as outgoing as my brother. In fact I’m pretty timid. I chose to use the two handed sword as a support and something to hide behind,” she said glancing between the ground and Tyler. “I hope I can be of service to you.”

Tyler was wondering how much of that was true. A few moments ago she tried to kill him and was screaming her head off and now she wants to be shy?

“Y-you don’t trust me, do you?” Cocytus said looking at the ground. Tyler didn’t say anything and she started to cry. “My human doesn’t trust me,” she said quietly after a few minutes of crying. Tyler had no idea what to say. He walked over to the sword and the ground and pulled it out.

“So, umm,” He looked at her, “do you still want to spar?”

“You mean it?” Her face lit up, “You’ll let me teach how to use a sword? You’re holding it backwards,” she said quietly.

“Oh,” he switched hands.

She stood up and grabbed her sword and held it in front of her abdomen pointing straight up.

“Umm, okay. You have it at your waste and facing the right. This sword is heavy and the stance you have will have you swinging upwards a lot and that will tire you out quickly. If you hold it like me, you can swing down and perform chops and that will take less effort,” she said trying to sound in charge, but her lack of confidence was showing through. But, Tyler fixed his stance anyway.

“Now, take a step and swing down,” she told and he took one step and swung down with huge force. “Umm, was that you or the sword? I know it’s heavy but you have to be in control. Relax and try again.” He took another step and swung down smoother. “Good. Umm, let’s see. I know when you swing down, I want to chop to the left and then swing back to the right and up a little.” He looked at her a little confused. “I’m sorry. Here let me show you!”

Cocytus gripped her sword and swung down, then chopped left, and swung her sword upwards and back to the right and regained her original stance. “See, it’s a basic three-hit combo and you can regain your stance a lot quicker,” she explained. “Now you try.” He imitated her perfectly. “Wow! And on your first try, too!” she exclaimed and then grew quiet, “it took me a few days to even begin to master it.”

“People always said I was a visual learner,” he said hoping to cheer her up. But before she could say anything, they heard a gong go off and new portal opened in the middle of the field.

“Oh, I guess it’s time for phase 2. You have to go into that portal that opened up. Good luck,” she said.

He nodded and walked forward into the portal. It was more instant than the first one and it was taken back by the fact that the empty field turned into a huge coliseum.

“Hey you got a big sword,” Fuka said from behind him. “I got a little dagger, but it’s more my style though. I’m a lightning elementalist!”

“I’m a wind elementalist!” Ally said from somewhere above. “Plus, I can fly and I got a spear!” She said and dropped down between the two.

“I guess I’m a dark ice elementalist?” he said questioning.

“Now that you have found your elemental and some training you must now learn teamwork!” Judith said over a loud speaker. The group looked around and noticed the people setting in the seats.

“Hey! Your sword’s bigger than mine! That’s cheating; I’m supposed to be the only one with a BFS!” Noelle shouted from the stands.

“Quiet from the peanut gallery!” a gruff voice came over the loud speaker!

“Oh yea, Kyubbi! Get down here and say that!” Noelle shouted.

“No fighting between you two. We’re here to train those three. Now, Granvase appear!” Judith said over the loud speakers.

A big gate in front of the trio opened up and a huge demon covered in armor appears. He had a bull like face and had hooves for feet. However, his arms and torso were humanoid.

“Hahaha! You look like a big cow,” Ally said cockily.

“Human! Let’s see if your cocky attitude lasts as you try and get past my Adaithiril Armor!” Granvase boasted.

“Adaithiril? What’s that?” Noelle asked Nikki beside her.

“It’s a strong metal. But it’s not a fusion between Mithril and Adamantium though. I have no idea where it got its name,” Nikki explained.

“Yes, you need teamwork to get past his armor,” Judith explained over the loud speakers.

“You two figure out how to get past his armor, I’m going to rest up here,” Ally said and jumped high into the air.

“I know! I’ll use my Speed Burst ability and get behind him and we can take him on from both sides!” Fuka explained. Tyler nodded in agreement. She stood in front of Granvase and then suddenly vanished. Then there was a loud gonging noise and she was in front of the demon holding her head.

“I have a message for Fuka from Quetzcotl, ‘You are not a ghost and can’t pass through solid objects,’” she read.

Granvase picked up Fuka and threw her at Tyler.

“Ha! I am invincible to your ramming speed!” Granvase boasted and pounded his chest with his fist. For some reason that caught Ally’s attention. She was starting form a plan.

“DIVE!” Ally shouted and pointed her spear higher than her head and rushed headfirst at the demon. He jumped back, but wasn’t fast enough and Ally cracked his chest plate with her spear.

“Whoa!” Everyone in the stadium was in shock.

“Now! Hit my spear with lightning!” Ally yelled at Fuka!

“Right!” Fuka said and a glyph appeared under Granvase, “Bolt strike!” She yelled and held out her dagger and a bolt of lightning flew from it to the tip of the spear and the armor shattered.

“Now! Finish it off,” Ally yelled at Tyler.

“Uhh, right!” Tyler said and gripped his sword and a glyph appeared under him and a blue steam started rising from the hilt of his sword.

“What’s he casting?” Noelle asked Cocytus.

“I-I didn’t teach him any magic,” she answered quietly.

“Let’s see if I understand this,” Tyler muttered to himself. “ICE GRAVE!” he shouted and swung his sword down into the ground and icicles came jutting out of the ground from the sword in a straight line to Granvase, who was still stunned from the thunder attack. He took the full force of the attack.

“Do I get bonus points for actually doing the whole teamwork thing?” Noelle asked.

The whole stadium was quiet after seeing Tyler use an advanced move like Ice Grave with no formal training.

TO BE CONTINUED

“I don’t get it. Shouldn’t Fuka be the wind elementalist?” Noelle asked.

“What do you mean?” Ally asked back.

“Her name is Fuka! Fuka’s always use wind,” Noelle yelled.

“I think we had enough fun with names with Grande Vache here,” Judith said.

“And what’s the deal with giving her Quetzcotl. That’s an Aztec myth and is it even thunder related?” Noelle didn’t hear what Judith said.

“Well, it was a sky god and connected to the planet Venus. And should really be saying anything, Aquilla is just constellation,” Judith said.

“You and your stupid facts. I’d be smart too if I worked in a school,” Noelle pouted.

“I am Random Nexus for we are many,” Aquilla said.

Chapter 09
The Mother Lode

Everyone rushed down to the open area of the stadium. Granvase was staggering back to his feet.

“What the hell? I thought they were just green horns! A move like that should have him flat on his back!” Granvase was yelling.

“More than, it’s impossible,” a blond woman in a white garb said. “I since no lode stones in his weapon,” she said and looked over at Cocytus; however she was blindfolded.

“Umm, yes. I didn’t teach any magic,” Cocytus said looking at her feet.

“What are lode stones?” Ally asked.

“Ooh! Ooh! I know! Lode stones are what power up our elemental weapon and allow us humans to create glyphs,” Fuka explained. “Look it! This is my Bolt Lodestone,” she said and pointed to a yellow orb in the hilt of her blade.

“Correct, but more than that, Lode is a mana source for us humans. Without mana Glyph creation will cause us great fatigue,” Judith explained. “Ophani, can you see anything?”

The woman in white bent over and was staring at Tyler intently.

“I see nothing wrong with the boy,” she sighed. “We may need Saya and Umbra though. My sixth sense isn’t as strong as theirs.” Then Tyler fainted.

“What happened?” Fuka and Ally shouted.

“Like I explained earlier, without a source of Mana glyph creation is very strenuous on our bodies. I imagine his mana reserves are very low,” Judith said. “I’ll take him to the infirmary. You stay here and train.” She went of to Tyler and tried to pick him up.

“Don’t give yourself a hernia, I’ll get him,” Noelle laughed and picked up Tyler. Carrying him on her back the two of them left.

A couple of hours later, Tyler woke up in an unfamiliar place. The walls were painted a light blue color and the aroma of rubbing alcohol was all around him. The breeze outside picked up and the curtains rose.

“Awake yet?” a voice asked from outside. The door opened and Judith walked in. “Oh good, we had to give you a mana pill. It’s lucky you have two mana. Your ice mana reservoir was almost depleted. Even with the dark mana working twice as hard we had to give you a quick dose of mana,” She was trying to explain to him. “I know this is all probably way over your head and hate to do this to you, but time is factor and I need you to reenter The Hub as soon as possible.”

“I think I’m good to go,” Tyler said getting out of the bed.

“Yea, you have twice as much mana as a normal person so your fatigue should where out quickly. It was mostly the shock of losing so much that caused you to faint like you did,” she said and smiled gently.

The two of them walked back to the gym and went back down the elevator. In side The Hub everyone was waiting on them.

“I can make Tornadoes now!” Ally yelled at him.

“I will teach you two magic attacks. If you are up to it, that is?” Cocytus said.

“Yea I’m fine!” he reassured her.

“Okay, let’s go back to my domain,” she said and grabbed Tyler’s hand and ran off down a path.

Judith laughed at the sight, “Hey. By the way, have any of you seen Kenny or Undine around?” she asked.

“Now that you mention it, I don’t think I have,” Judith said. Everyone else shook their heads.

“Did they go with Kari and Saya?” Noelle asked.

“No,” Ophani said.

“Hmm, I wonder what those two are up to,” Noelle shrugged. “Oh well, when Tyler’s done training we’ve got to do all the introductions again. And this time you better get it right!” she yelled and pointed at Judith.

“I still don’t get why?” Judith sighed.

“The hair over your eye is like an eye patch, duh,” Noelle laughed.

Meanwhile, Tyler and Cocytus were back in the barren field.

“Umm, I’m not sure how much of Lode stuff you got. But it’s a way to make glyphs like you did with out getting fatigued. Also, after putting in a lode stone you can summon the weapon to your side in your world,” she explained. “Summon your weapon and we’ll put the Ice Lode Stone and the Dark Lode Stone in. Wait! I forgot to teach you how to call your weapon. Okay, to call your weapon take your battle stance and picture the weapon in your hand,” she explained farther.

“Picture my sword in my hand,” Tyler repeated and took his stance. He felt his arms get heavier and shadow crept out from his palms and formed the shape of his sword.

“Great! Here take these,” Cocytus said and held out a light blue stone and a dark violet stone. They started to float and they automatically inserted themselves into the hilt of the sword. The light blue stone was on the outside of the sword and the dark violet stone was in the inside.

“Wow, so I can use Ice Grave and not get tired?” he asked.

“Sorry, it doesn’t quite work like that. The Lode Stones have a limiter installed on them. At the moment you can only use Icicle and Dark Bolt. By killing alchemic and necromantic monster and absorbing their Lode into the blade you raise the limit and can learn more power spells and abilities. But, you have to kill them. If you hit them and weaken this and Ally, for example, delivers the final blow she will get the entire Lode,” she explained.

“Alchemic, necromantic?” he repeated.

“Even before 2012, those two artes have existed on your planet. Humans recreating objects for something more desirable, raising the dead, summoning demons,” Cocytus’ voice dropped and was more serious.

“Oh,” Tyler was taken aback.

“Sorry, you’re not to blame. But you humans are a selfish bunch,” she said. “But I guess you want to know what it has to do with Lode. By toying with Alchemy and Necromancy they take from the Planet’s Lode and when killed the lode will be drawn into the nearing source of hard lode and become one with it. It happens so fast, you want even notice,” she told him. “Let’s get back to the magic,” Tyler could tell she wanted to change the subject.

“Okay, so Icicle and Dark Bolt?” he asked.

“They’re both low level skills but fundamentally different. Icicle is a physical skill and Dark Bolt is a magical ability,” she explained. “Let’s learn Icicle first,” she said and called her weapon. A glyph appeared under her and the sword started to produce steam, “You remember the first step of the combo, swing down? Do that and call the name of the attack, ICICLE!” she yelled and swung down and three came flying out of the blade. “You may be curious to know why it’s a physical skill,” he nodded. “It all comes down to the force behind the swing. The harder you swing, the stronger the icicles will be. Now you try.”

He took his stance and formed a Glyph under his feet. His sword started producing steam, “ICICLE!” he yelled and swung down hard and three icicles flew out of his blade.

“Excellent!” Cocytus clapped. “Umm, now for Dark Bolt. This is a magical ability and it’s strength is dependent on your mental stamina. For this attack you form the glyph in your palm,” she said and held out her right palm. “Umm, I found for the best result it is best to form it in the palm you do not write with. Now, DARK BOLT!” she yelled and a black sphere appeared in front of her palm and fired outwards. “Okay, now you try.”

I’m right handed so I need to use my left hand for this, he was thinking to himself. He held out his left palm and formed the Dark Glyph, “DARK BOLT!” he yelled and fired the dark sphere from his palm.

“That’s very good. Let’s head back. Oh yea, when any of your Lode Stones start to glow that mean they’ve reached their limit. Come back and I will expand the limit and teach a new spell or ability,” she explained. They walked down the path and came to a dead end. “If I’m not in The Hub and you want to see me use this Gate Lode Stone at the end of the path we came from,” she said and handed Tyler a clear stone. It started to float and inserted itself into the bottom of the hilt. She formed a large glyph floating in the middle of the path and walked through it and Tyler followed. They were back at The Hub where everyone was waiting.

“Alright, they’re back! Let’s introduce everybody again!” Noelle shouted.

“Glad your back, she was getting rowdy,” Judith sighed. “Both of them were,” she nodded at Noelle and Ally.

“Hey Aquilla, get your feathery butt down here!” Noelle shouted at the sky. A huge shadow descended on the group, “this is Aquilla! I like her name because it rhymes with Tequila!”

“Nice to meet you,” a firm voice spoke from above them. Looking up he saw she had a hawk’s head. She had the body of a human, except for the talons and wings. She was wearing plate mail.

“She’s a birdman!” Noelle shouted and glanced over at Judith.

“Huh? Oh, all right,” Judith sighed. “Ha ha ha, shout out,” she said in bored voice.

“I can’t believe you did it!” Noelle burst out laughing.

“I can’t believe I’m your partner,” Aquilla smirked. At least as well as a hawk face can smirk.

“Next, this is Kyubbi,” Judith and wave her hand behind her revealing a white fox with multiple tails, at least six. It was a pale yellowish color.

“I don’t know how familiar you are with my origin, but if you comment on my lack of tails like that red one did your suffering will be dealt swiftly,” Kyubbi said and glared at Ally.

“What? I was just saying that in all the stories I know you guys have nine tails and are white or gold,” she said safely behind Noelle.

“I will visit you in your nightmare,” Kyubbi growled at her. Ally stuck her tongue out.

“Okay, me next! This is Sylph!” Ally said pointing a small green haired girl. She was wearing a green sundress and boots. And had a face that somewhere between the most innocent and most mischievous face Tyler has ever seen. She didn’t say anything, but giggled and hid behind Ally.

“That is Quetzcotl,” Fuka said pointing upward at a large flying snake. He descended down upon the group and Tyler could see he was covered in feathers instead of scales.

“Good evening. I hope we learn much from this,” He said in radiant voice.

“Yo, this is Altair,” Slash said nodding backwards and behind him stood a large metallic golem about seven feet tall.

“Nice to make you acquaintance,” he said in a calm voice that was unexpected from his size.

“And this is Surt,” Sai said and behind him was a large stern looking orange man. He had his arms folded. He had a long beard and his hair was curly all the way to his shoulders. He didn’t say anything and just grunted.

“I’m Ophani,” the blind folded woman told him. “My partner is out with Saya and Umbra scouting.”

“I guess it’s my turn, huh?” he said looking at all the pleading eyes. “This is Cocytus.”

“Umm, nice to meet everyone,” she said.

“Wait; is that Cocytus like the river?” Noelle asked.

“Yea,” Cocytus nodded.

“Huh, I always pronounced it ‘cock a tuse’ and all this time it was pronounced ‘co see tuss,’” Noelle shrugged.

“Okay then,” Judith laughed at her friend. “It’s been a long day. Let’s get out of here, I have to get the Gym ready for the school event tonight,” Judith said.

They all said good bye to their elementals and left through the portal.

TO BE CONTINUED

“Hey Acheron?” a girl in a white robed asked a big muscular guy.

“What, Lethe?” he answered.

“Is that all we get, a quick mention in that last chapter? I’m her little sister, I need screen time too,” she pouted.

“What does being her little sister have to do with anything? I’m her big brother and I don’t deserve screen time,” he tried to comfort her.

“Isn’t Altair Aquilla’s son or something?” she asked.

“Constellations don’t work like that,” he sighed.

Time keeps moving forward and affects no two people the same.

Chapter 10
Little Trouble

“Miss Ember! Miss Ember!” The group was met with shouting as they exited the elevator.

“Plum!” Noelle shouted and waved.

“Plum, what is it?” Judith asked.

“It’s Miss Law. She needs your help!” Plum said out of breath.

“Ha! That Diana is a hoot,” Noelle laughed.

“Quiet! You don’t know what it is. She may need some real help. So how much of the gym is decorated?” Judith asked.

“Umm, well you see a bunch of students have been waiting to get started for awhile and she never showed up. So I was elected to go look for her, cause she might have gotten lost-“

“Again,” Noelle interrupted.

“Umm, right well she wasn’t lost. I got to the storage room and she was trapped under a box of supplies!” Plum finished explained and Noelle burst out laughing.

“Come on Noelle, let’s go get her out,” Judith said, trying to hide that she found it funny too.

“Uh, umm, wait! No-Noelle?” Plum was fidgeting and looking at the ground.

“Yea?” Noelle stopped and looked at Plum.

“Well,” she gulped, “tonight is the night when parents come to see everything and I umm, don’t think my parents are going to come so could you, you know for me?”

“Aww!” Noelle had a really big smile on her face. “Sure thing! You can count on me!”

“I’m going to go get ready!” Plum said and ran off.

“Hey what is the deal with those two?” Ally asked Slash.

“I’m not really sure, you’d have to them yourselves or Judith, but for some reason Noelle has a soft spot for Plum,” Slash said.

“Crap! It’s almost four! The parents are going to be here in three hours and the Gym hasn’t even been started!” they could hear Judith shouting from the gym.

Earlier above the city things were a lot less light hearted.

Kari and Saya were inside Umbra scanning the city. Umbra looked like a giant black sphere with hand like wings protruding from the side. Although no one could see inside Umbra, the people inside had full vision of what was going on outside. Coupled with Saya’s visor she can view life signs of creatures as well as elemental alignment.

“This is no good,” Saya said all of a sudden.

“What is it?” Kari asked.

“The drones I keep send over the park keep disappearing,” Saya sighed.

“Let’s head over there and see what is taking them out,” Kari instructed.

“Alright. Umbra could please head to the park?” Saya asked.

“Yes ma’am,” Umbra answered. She jolted and turned left heading over the city. As they started getting closer to the park Saya jolted up.

“What is it?” Kari exclaimed!

“I’m picked up a lot of signals! It’s Baja Daemon! There are a lot of them in the air over there!” she exclaimed. “Oh no! They’ve noticed us!”

“I’ll go top side and take out as many as I can!” Kari said. “Phase 2!” She shouted and donned her tonfas, white dress, wings, and blind fold.

“Alright. Umbra enter your battle form and teleport Kari up top!” Saya instructed Umbra.

“Yes ma’am,” the dark sphere flattened and expanded producing a jet like shape the wings moved to the back. With a flash of light Kari appeared on top.

“Be careful! I can only go to phase 2, Umbra doesn’t have any skills she can use on this plane!” Saya warned.

“Don’t worry! These are Daemon! They’re naturally weak to my Holy skills!” Kari said.

“But you are just as weak to their Dark skills!” Saya warned.

“I’m not a certain blonde idiot! I won’t get it,” Kari said.

“Alright, here they come!” Saya yelled as human looking winged beast in crimson colored cloaks came rushing at Umbra.

“Holy Shot!” Kari yelled and started firing white orbs out of the tonfas. Each one found their mark causing the Baja Daemon to convert back to Mana.

“Watch out behind you!” Saya yelled, but it was too late. It fired off a Dark energy from its palm and hit Kari.

“Ugh! It’ll take more than that!” she yelled and fired three Holy Shots.

“There are too many of them! I’ll see I can find the Catalyst!” Saya yelled.

“Don’t worry about me! Take your time!” Kari shouted while firing more shots into the ever increasing cloud of Baja Daemon.

“There! I’m sensing an Arc Daemon! He’s standing in the middle of the park; he must be guarding the Catalyst!” Saya exclaimed.

“Let’s go get it!” Kari yelled while taking out more Daemon.

“He’s surrounded by trees I can’t get close enough with Umbra. I’m going to land away from him! Umbra can you land over there,” she said and pointed to the closest parking lot to the Arc Daemon’s location.

“Yes ma’am,” she said and moved over the lot. “I’ll teleport you out two down now.”

The two landed in the middle of the parking lot and Umbra vanished. The Baja Daemon are summoned for their numbers more then their intelligence. The could not figure out where everybody went and just stood in the air confused. Saya lowered her visor and looked around trying to find the Arc Daemon’s signature. Once she found it she pointed to the location and the two headed off into the forest. While running Saya was charging her arm canon until two energy orbs was circling around her. The two stopped suddenly. The Arc Daemon noticed them.

Arc Daemons are different from Baja Daemons in many ways. The more obvious difference is the size. Arc Daemons can grow to be over 10 feet tall. The Arc Daemon lack wings as well. They have massive hairy forearms and slouch when walking. They have horns forming out of their fore head making an arc shape. Another difference is the Arc Daemon is fairly intelligent.

“Well, well ladies. I bet you came looking for the catalyst. Guess what? I took it inside of me. You know what that means right? If you want all the Baja Daemon to go away, you’re going to have to take me out!” he grinning showing his fangs.

“Wouldn’t have it any other way!” Kari shouted. “Holy Shot!”

“Arc Barrier!” the daemon shouted and waved his hand created a red barrier stopping Kari’s attack. “Try again!” he said and back handed Kari. That sent her flying into a tree.

Saya was studying the barrier. She started darting around the daemon taking a couple of weak shots at it barrier.

“Heh heh, don’t do that,” he said wagging his index finger. He formed a fist and punched at Saya. She took this opportunity to jump on his arm. He flung her off. Using this new altitude the readied her canon taking the two orbs she charged earlier into it.

“Double Impulse Shot!” she shouted and fired a large slow moving energy ball. The force caused her flip back wards. When she turned back around she fired another energy ball into the first causing it to ripple and four beams popped out the back and homed in on the Arc Daemon. They hit the barrier and disintegrated, but the barrier was destroyed. The larger energy ball picked up momentum and fell into the Arc Daemon converting him back to mana. Saya landed on the ground. Kari walked up beside her rubbing the back of her head.

“Good show,” she said.

“Yea, but after all that we didn’t learn anything,” Saya sighed.

“I wouldn’t say that. Arc Daemons are good at stalling. Whatever is about to happen is not going to be anywhere near here or the school,” Kari explained.

“Why the school?” Saya asked.

“Because Judith and Noelle are going to be there tonight. So whoever murdered Jordan knows about us and the layout of the city pretty well,” Kari explained.

“Hmm, are you thinking what I’m thinking,” Saya asked.

“If you’re thinking it’s Rachel?” Saya nodded, “then let’s head to Shamshel.”

TO BE CONTINUED

“Hello everybody! It’s me Lethe!” Lethe yelled.

“What are you doing here!?” Ally yelled at her.

“I’m hosting the post chapter thing!” Lethe exclaimed.

“Hey! That is my job! I still have stuff to teach!” Ally pouted.

“You’re not doing a very good job!” Lethe pointed out.

“Why you little!” Ally said and pounced on Lethe.

“Random Nexus post chapter is experiencing technical difficulties,” Acheron sighed.
