#9 When I write stories 1st chapter is boring 2nd chapter is mysterious 3rd chapter is a slowdown and flshing out of things and fourth chapter is where the plot gets kicked into full gear. But thats just me. |

| | my guide lines are: 1st chapter - usualy a prologue to add mystery to one or more characters or to make the reader start to question certain things. 2nd chapter - an introduction to some of the main characters, but not all. 3rd chapter - the situation of the character's world and an event. 4th chapter - depends on the story that i'm working on - it varies. the rest of the plot/characers/character's pasts/worlds predicement take a while to unravell, but for me, most of it is told after 100 A5 pages or so... |

| | That's pretty orderly. Not to oknock it or anything but I like a little spontaneousness things. Your main character could be assisted by the antagonist in the very first chapter and just pass it off as a chance encounter and meet him later like "OMG I NOEZ HEEM." |
