I was bored so I wrote a poem. First one I've ever put up here, poetry has never been one of my stronger suits so it ain't brilliant.
It is a bit emo, be warned.

You told me to
"don't cry for me, I'm going
somewhere better"
I know you left this
Full of love
For your world
Filled to the edge with tears
Of happiness, as consuming as your illness.
You found your peace
In your somewhere better


Mine left with you
and I'll never find it.
You left me empty, and I hate you for it
Without your company
your presence

I'm selfish, I know
but I can't help missing you, you left me angry
and that cold anger has brought me down
to a place where I hate everyone
especially myself.

I expect to see you
just round the corner but,
in my heart I know,
oh God,
You aren't coming back
