#153  Why thank you. Waking with a start Jade grabbed her guns from under her pillow and aimed. She looked around and her room was empty. She could see her Crosshot outfit on the floor. The loose red trench coat. With the black hot pants and the blue tanktop, and of course the mask. With the left eye circled in red paint and the right in blue. It was a funny little thing. Jade slumped down onto her bed. "You're getting paranoid gurlie" she told herself as she layed back down never letting go of her guns. She drifted into uneasy sleep. Her dreams were filled with the screams of people and fiends. She couldn't fire her guns and was left almost defenceless. She boled upright again with her guns once again in hand. She looked at her hands and a shiver went down her spine she threw her guns to the floor as she got out of bed. She left her room untidy as usual and went to the bathroom. She looked herself over in the mirror. Her blue and green eyes sparkled in the premorning light. Her hair was messy but she didn't feel like fixing it. She went to her room and threw her crimefighter clothes into a over the shoulde bag. She got dreesed in her everyday clothes, A longsleeved red shirt along with an ordinary beige trenchcoat. She decided to wear her skinny jeans, instead of a skirt. She looked herself over in the mirror "I haven't done my hair" she says. She decides to just brush down her long brown hair and threw on a cowboy hat. "Perfect" she says as she grabbed her over-the-shoulder bag and put her guns in their holsters on weither side of her hips. She exits her house and checks her mail. "Looks like I have a few missions." she says as she looks through them. "I don't want to do this one, or this one" she flips through most of them before finding an interesting one. "' I want you to steal the chaos jewel from a group of forest trolls'" She paused. Forest trolls are dumb, but they are strong. "'you will be payed handsomely.' Well that's good enough for me." She read where to go and where to bring the jewel when she ahd finished. "And I'm off" she jumps into the air and runs out of town. She slowly slows down. Once she sees the markings of roll life she begine to sneak around. Jumping into a tree she hears a troll walk by. "whew. that was too close." Looking around through the trees branches she sees where the troll village. She glances toward the sun hanging high in the sky. "Noon. Too early. I guess I'll just sit here and wait." She stays there for a while before jumping down and climbing another tree closer to the village. "Ok now I can observe them closely.." |

| | Jade waits until night falls and she sets out to do her mission. As she enters the village she can hear the snores of the many forest trolls. "Where would they hide the jewel" she asks herself as she checks out a few tents. She finally finds the tent with the jewel and is surpised by it. It is big blue and very shimmery. "If I was a little bit girlier I might never give this up" she whispers which was the wrong thing to do. "BONG BONG BONG" Drums go off like bombs all around her."  " she muttered as she ran and snatched the jewel "Damn" it was hot. Very hot. She pulled out a pair of gloves and put them on. She grabbed the jewel and threw it in her bag. Just then the tent flap flew open and the face of a troll came in. She turned just in time to see his fist coming. "Why" she asked as she ducked and dhot at his arm. He recoiled and she pushed through him. Once on the outside she saw tat almost all the trolls had awoken. "This is not good!" She decided to run, as hard and as fast as she ever had. "Hey there's the intruder" the troll behind her yelled "She's got the jewel" this seemed to set something off in these trolls. They no longer were searching curiously, they were now charging furiously. Jade ran into the head on running up and flipping over one of the trolls. As she tried to run her foot was caught by a hand. She shot 4 rounds iinto the hand and it clenched tighter before going limp. "faster faster faster" she told herself as she ran. A sudden pain enveloped her as many needles seem to appear and impale her. "uggh" she ran on through the pain leaving a river of blood. Her vision blurred and she hit something solid a tree maybe. "Oh my what a poor yound woman" she heard a man's voice say. She was suddenly in a room lit by candlelight with a woman casting spells on her. "Where am I" Jade asks groggily? "At a temple. I am here to cure you my name is Jena" Jade suddenly noticed the pain that had enveloped her body was gone, to be replaced by a dull sting that wasonly in her head. Jade tried to sit up. "Please lie still. you have lost a lot of blood moving is the last thing you need o do" The young woman said. Jade gave in and layed back down. "HOw did I get here?" Jena was startled by the question. "I'm not sure. Sorry" "For what" Jade asks with her eyes closed. "umm" Jade sniggered "Maybe you will relax i f you know my name is Jade. I am a gunner for hire. I was atempting to steal the-" Jade breaks off. "I have to leave here." Jena looks at her shocked "I can't allow that." "You can't stop me. They willl come for the jewel." "Paralyze" Jena says and Jade suddenly feels 00 pounds heavier. Nothing works the right way. " Like I said I can't let you. If anything comes to this town I'm sure the soldiers will protect us." Jade opens her mouth to protest but Jena gives her a hard glare that makes her close it. "It's our funeral" Jade says venomously. I vote A for ff freak |
