| | Yeah, I'll finish her C. **************************************** ************* "I need some kind of distraction." Celeste said to herself. Celeste emptied her pockets, and she saw the perfect item, a Flash Grenade. "Aim it just right..." Celeste threw the grenade down a corridor at the far side of the room. The grenade rolled far into the cave, then dropped and thunked down what Celeste hoped was steps. The grenade flashed, and everyone was stunned. Most of the people left, with the exception of one. I might have to take him out...but with my spear? There might not be enough time to do it. Celeste decided to take him out with her spear, even though he might sound an alarm. She jumped from the cliff, and landed awkwardly, but silently, and creeped towards the man, who seemed to be staring at the stone. "Now," the man said, "what to do with this jewel?" Celeste stopped herself from gasping, a betrayer? In there own people? How? Why? The man touched the jewel, and immediatly withdrawn his hand. "Hot..." he muttered. Celeste thought of what to do, but her curiosity took the better of her, and reached and tapped the mans shoulder, "Excuse me..." The man whipped around and drawed a greatsword, "What do you want? Who are you?" Celeste looked at the blade, placing her hand on her spear she said, "I want to know why you are after the jewel. And I think that I shouldn't tell you who I am...at least, not with you holding your blade against me." "Fine," the man said putting away the sword, "if you need to know, I am Toroda. I came for the jewel because these people are using it for money. The Chaos Jewel, as they call it, is said to be able to cause chaos for whatever the user desires. I came forward, as a betrayer, to steal it from them to stop them from this sick barbarism. They only recruit young men and women so they can be easily swayed into greed." "So, Toroda, you seem to be trustworthy, but do not turn your back on me, or you might feel some regret in the form of death from my spear." "You have my word." "Now, to get that jewel." Toroda put on a pair of gauntlets on, "It's hot so I'll hold it. Celeste would've protested, but she heard sounds of footsteps coming up the stairs. "C'mon!" Toroda whispered, as he grabbed the jewel. Celeste noticed another set of stairs. She ran up them quickly, and got to the top with ease, Toroda right behind her. They ended up in the hallway before the cliff. "Take a right!" Celeste whispered. No sooner had she said it, a wail of anger sounded below, they figured out the Jewel was stolen. Hours seemed to pass, but were only minuets. Finally, they ran out of the cave, exhausted. "Let's take a rest," Toroda panted, "this Jewel isn't the lightest thing in the world." And they sat, maybe a hundred meters from the entrance to the cave. They both tried, futily, to stay awake. But, soon they both were dosing off, exhausted. **************************************** ************* Wow, that was long! The next story will be...whoever wants to go next! |
