This is a poem that I wrote for school(and my gf). Were doing poetry about women and I think a lot of guys take the greatest gift we have for granted. Tell me what you think. My teacher( im in 8th grade) said it was A+ work.

Something To Be Grateful For

A lot of guys look at a girl’s face and figure
But I wonder
Do they ever try to figure out
What the girl is really about?
A lot of times, women are taken for granted

A lot of girls have an inner beauty
But a lot of guys just look at the outside of the girl
Not taking into account what she’s really about, what she really is
This is something to think about

Cause a good woman, is more than a woman.
She’s an angel
She’s a wonder of the world
She’s a goddess among people
That’s something to be grateful for.

Guys, you need to learn to appreciate women
You look at the curves of her hips,
But have you taken the time to listen to the words
That flow from her lips?

Cause a good woman, is more than a woman
Her words are what lift you up when you fall
Her support is a crutch when you think you’ve lost it all
That’s something to be grateful for.

See, what I’m trying to say is
Good women are taken for granted
That needs to change
Guys, a women doesn’t need you
So don’t think of them as a possession

Think of them as
The brightest star in the sky
The most beautiful thing you’ll ever see
The definition of perfection
Because that’s what a good woman is
That’s Something to be grateful for.
