#1 Here's a rap I wrote a while back after my life changing experience with Hurricane Katrina. This is a true story... (First Verse) My minds a prison All my friends is missin' Ever since Katrina I've been trapped in the same position Look, I try to listen To the screams of memories I keep reminesing about the demons thats killing me All in my dreams Before the storm I hear my friend talkin' to me Thinkin' about his family I ask him are you leaving? He said where would we go? I didn't have an answer so I said man I don't know I look up in the sky As A rain drop falls from my face like a tear from my eye I wish I've Could have stayed with 'em Just in case someone breaks in his house and try to kill him But I knew my families just as helpless And my soul is too God Damn selfish I turn around And My friend is lieing on the ground With no sound I try to move but my body has harden And my dream turns to nothing but darkness I though to myself this can't be am I this heartless? (Chorus) Why me? I bear this heart I Plead to see the light and yet I'm stuck in the dark. (Repeat Chorus Four times) This came to me in my dream. There's Four Verses in all. This is the first rap I ever created that came straight from my heart. |

| | Nah, I'm saving up money to buy studio time. I've got a great beat for this one. It's 2Pac's beat from his sing "It Ain't Easy". Not as popular as most of his songs, And that's one of the big reasons why I want to use that beat... |

| | Good choice. If you do get it all recorded, post it so we can hear it. As for the lyrics, they pack a punch with each sentence. The opening is particularly good too, as i'm easily lead into your emotions from the start. Keep it up, i'll check out the rest of your work if you decide to post some in the future. |
