Need a little direction..

I'm looking for ways to start honing my writing craft and I wanna start off small ... can anyone help by offering any suggestions? For example, does anyone know of a site thats looking for volunteers to write articles ( related to gaming would be nice! ) Thanks.

I hope I'm not in the wrong place, I am more interested in editorial writing than poetry or fiction.

I wrote an article or two there, but I really don't like writing non-fiction. You can write about anything, so gaming fits there.
