#1  [P] The Essence of Celes' Soul Alright guys, I'm going to post my latest here, as well as my old ones, because I wanna know what you all think =] Enjoy your read! KEEP IN MIND, THE BREAK UP ONES WERE WRITTEN BEFORE MY CURRENT RELATIONSHIP! So no worries, Alan 'n I are perfectly fine =] And I am not still in love with the other guys, I only have eyes for Alan =] Mistake It seems like so long ago to me, When we were still together. I remember each detail perfectly, All the smiles we shared, the happiness, But most importantly, the love. Chris, by leaving you I made a mistake, One that I’ll never forgive myself for making. I was lead to believe that it was a good decision But it wasn’t. It was a bad decision to leave you, He ended up being a jerk to me, Lying, playing with my emotions… Things I know you’d never do. I broke your heart, I know, And I hope that I can mend it back together With the glue I like to call love. I never stopped loving you to be honest, You’re too dear to me for that to happen. I often thought of you as I looked into his eyes, Wondered how you were doing, wondered if you ever thought of me. Secretly I wanted it to be you I smiled at rather than him, Not telling anything to anyone out of fear of losing what I thought Was the best relationship I had. I was wrong, so very very wrong Because with you, I feel loved. With you, I feel safe. With you, I feel warm. With you, I feel happy. With you…I feel beautiful, Like the girl I’ve always wanted to be. Only you make me feel that way, I only wish I could have seen that before. So I write this poem as I hope deep in my heart That you’ll forgive my mistake And take me back into your arms… And love me again. Prelude To A Broken Heart Fragments of my once-whole heart Lay shattered all over the place, Tears of sorrow, regret, and confusion Dripping off each and every piece. This isn’t the prelude to a broken heart, It’s the real thing. It’s too late to go back and fix it, Too late to take back the pain. Only time can mend these wounds, Wounds that may heal, But will leave scars, As a reminder of what once was, What never will be again, And of what is yet to come As I step blindly into the abyss Known as “what the future holds” With my friends and family to guide me As I once again find my heart In thousands of pieces on the floor, My tears of sorrow, regret, and confusion Dripping off each and every piece, But this story is different, Thanks to the light at the end of the tunnel. I now know where to step As I slowly recover from my losses. Moving on is harder than you think, Harder than anyone will know, Except those who experience this Just like I have. So pick up the pieces, move on with your life, And listen to my sorrowful and true Prelude to a broken heart. Photos I pulled out some old photos today, Photos of you and me together, Smiles of pure happiness upon our lips As we look into each other’s eyes with love. However those photos aren’t as old as they seem, For it wasn’t too long ago that we were together, Whispering sweet “I love you’s" as time passed us by, Both of us ignorant to the troubles our future beheld. Life seemed too good to be true, almost like a dream, A dream that I never wanted to wake from. However reality must be kept in check, No matter how harsh and cruel it may be. One day you told me you didn’t love me anymore, That you’d been feeling that way for some time now, That you’d be breaking up with me and that was that. I was sad, hurt, angry and confused, “why?” was the only thing I could say. So now I’m putting these photos away, Hoping that it’ll help me to move on, Knowing that I’ll never be the same again. Movin' On I’m tired of all the trouble you’ve caused me, Tired of being tired. You’ve caused me too much trouble as it is, Yet you seem to cause more each time I talk to you. So that’s it, I’m done with you for good, Time to move on to better people. You’ve got a girlfriend already, Which shows me you’re nothing more than a jerk, Someone who decided to play with my emotions, Then once you got a good hold, you broke me. I hope you’re happy with what you’ve done, Hope you’re happy to have a new victim. Because as of now, I’m movin’ on, I’m going to forget you and be with Him again, The guy that I left to be with you. I made a big mistake by leaving him, I won’t make the same mistake twice. I’m not sorry I’m doing this, but I am sorry, Sorry that I ever met you. Sure we had our good times, Our happiness and our laughs were abundant, But I made a mistake by being with you, Made a mistake by leaving Him. So it’s time to fix the mistake I made, Time to love Him again, To give him all the love I never gave you Because I’m moving on. Time Not Wasted Looking back on all the time I spent Thinking about how wonderful it’d be To spend the rest of my life with you, I begin to realize how much of a waste It was to dream like that. We both knew we weren’t ready, So why did we plan it? Why did we plan the future when we knew Things could’ve changed at any time? Things did change, my love, Because you’re no longer with me. You said you weren’t ready for a relationship, That you were changing into who you’re supposed to be. You said you didn’t want to be with me as you changed. So why does it hurt so much, Knowing you no longer love me? Why does my heart cry so, Knowing you did what you thought was best? Being with you made me smile, Made me laugh in a way Only truly happy people can. Just hearing your voice made my heart Go a-flutter with so many happy feelings, Feelings that only people who are in-love Will ever know the existence of. Do you realize the pain you’ve caused me, So deep inside my beating heart? Do you know how much I long To be able to hold you and love you? I think back once again To the time I spent thinking of you, Realizing finally after all this time... That it wasn’t time wasted… It was time not wasted. Betrayed Written just after the break up when I started crushing on someone, still before meeting Alan. Every time I look into his eyes, Every time I smile at him, Every time I say his name In that sweet, silky tone… I feel like I’m betraying you. I’m only following advice I was given, To move on and try to smile again, To forgive and forget the pain I feel… But moving on is hurting me inside, Re-opening those still fresh wounds, Making them bigger and bigger As I pretend to be okay. Deep inside, as you know, I still have that connection to you, My first love ever is who you are, That deep feeling of closeness, No matter how hard we try to destroy it, Still lives on to this very day. Our bond is still strong, Strong enough that you know When I’m feeling down. I hope that through this bond, You will always feel The sadness my heart radiates Each time I smile at him In that special way that I smiled at you, Sadness because deep down, I know… I have betrayed you. My Love Written for Alan <3 My love, Let us walk into the sunset together, Holding hands and sharing smiles as we talk About the things only we can talk about. My love, Let us fly into the stars together, Our wings as white and pure as snow Enveloping us in their warmth as we embrace. As Long As Eternity Lasts As Long As Eternity Lasts She felt the tears slowly fall as she embraced him, memories of them together flashing through her head as she realized she may never see him again. The wind howled and the thunder boomed causing her to jump and hold on tighter. "When will you return?" she inquired sadly as he kissed her hair and reveled in the scent. Sadly he looked at the floor and it was then she realized, he might never return, it all depended on fate. "I'm not sure," he replied with a whisper, a tear falling down his cheek and landing on her head. She looked up at him in awe as she realized, he also knew that he may never return and that he was scared. She pulled out of his arms and looked him straight in the eyes, determination set in her beautiful face. She gently touched his face with her hand and smiled gently, not wanting him to be what she was just moments ago. "Will you wait for me?" he asked in a quiet voice, causing her eyes to soften with love for him. "As long as the sun rises and sets every day, as long as the rivers continue to flow with strength, as long as the flowers continue to bloom in the spring and the moon rises in the night... As long as eternity lasts... I will wait for you, my love," she replied with love and hope in her voice. He kissed her deeply, pouring all of his feelings into it. The next day she felt a sharp pain in her heart, knowing her lover had met his demise. She fell to the floor in a heap, tears streaming down her cheeks as she realized she died alone. However, in front of her a bright light appeared, her lover glowing with a holy light that outshone the sun. He smiled at her lovingly and, in perfect unison, they recited: "As long as the sun rises and sets every day, as long as the rivers continue to flow with strenth, as long as the flowers continue to bloom in the spring and the moon rises in the night... As long as eternity lasts... I will wait for you, my love." It was in that last moment, after sharing words of love so strong, that she took his hand and sighed her last sigh, before joining her one true love in life beyond, where nothing could ever seperate them... And eternity lasts forever. Think of Me No matter how far away you are, no matter how hard I try, I can't keep you off my mind. The wind may blow and the sun may set, but you're always there, always on my mind, and it's like you're right here, right by my side. Our brief time apart is a devestating torture, slowly eating me from the inside out. Kissing you is a sweet, enjoyable torture, giving me a new reason to get up every day. When you hold me in your strong embrace, it seems like the world stops abruptly, just so we can be together, forever. Being without you is like a night with no stars, all of the excitement leaves and wishfullness begins. I wish, upon a star so bright, that you'll think of me, while I'm gone, as I think of you. I long for this time period to end, for it to disappear so I can be in your arms again, so that I can kiss you and put all of my soul into it. I miss you, I love you, I'm always thinking about you, hoping that as you stare into the same sky I do, that you'll think about me and never stop, that you'll dream of me as you sleep. Dream of our first meeting, as I often do, of our first real kiss, of our first embrace... and of the first time that I can say "I love you". That's all for now! ^^ I'll come up with more soon! |

| | New addition! Written because...well, should be self-explanitory. Missing You I'm not totally sure how to put this into words, but I miss you. The first day was bad, the first week even, but as the number of days left until your return slowly dwindles, I find it harder to keep smiling, harder to keep saying "it's alright, don't worry for me!" "I'll be fine, no need to fuss!" Instead, I keep playing our song over and over and over again, singing the words quietly to myself because I know that wherever you are, you're sitting there just like me, and you keep playing our song over and over and over again, singing the words quietly to yourself because you know that I am doing the same. Maybe it's the rain that causes my heart to feel so saddened and dreary as it does as it continues to hit the rooftop softly, the sky crying as it knows I do on the inside. Or, maybe, wherever you may be, you're lying awake iwth your hands behind your head, whispering my name as you, too, begin to cry, your heart, mind, and spirit reaching out to mine. I can feel you now as you caress my cheek, a small and subtle connection permanently strung between us despite the distance, but existent nonetheless. I can only hope you feel me now, as I give it my all to reach out to you, nothing on my mind except for one thought, and that is just how badly my ears long for the sound of your voice, how knowingly and obviously my eyes long to see your loving and gentle smile, how much my lips wish to smile and whisper your name for your ears to hear just how much I have missed you. |
