#1 I've been mentally writing a script for a story. The trick is... it's written around the music of the Gorillaz. The story is about a man who lives a boring, meaningless life in society. He's unhappy, unloved, and completely unfullfilled in his life. The story revolves around his exploits to find meaning and happiness in his life from a rather dark and disillusioned perspective. It has my type of twisted humor and actually ends happily. It starts with the track "Last Living Souls". The character wakes up in his bed and stares at the ceiling where he sees this line written "God Hates You". We get to see the drugedry of his daily life and watch as he begins to lose sight of what is real or if he just is a "cog" in the "social machine" that keeps our everyday life going. He tries worldly pleasures and other diversions to help him through but eventually he rejects them as false paths to happiness. He meets a mysterious woman who lives freely and cannot understand his discontent. Drama, depression, and perhaps a psychedellic hallucination eventually leads him to the truth of what he is looking for, the final track being "Demon Days" Any thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? (a title would help) or Blasphemous lies? |
