“It’s an irritating reality that many places and events defy description. Angkor Wat and Machu Picchu, for instance, seem to demand silence, like a love affair you can never talk about. For a while after, you fumble for words, trying vainly to assemble a private narrative, an explanation, a comfortable way to frame where you’ve been and whats happened.

In the end, you’re just happy you were there - with your eyes open - and lived to see it.” - Anthony Bourdain

Del Murder and I are celebrating our 18 year anniversary next week. It’s hard to put into words the full scope of what this place has meant to us and what it’s given us. And people who weren’t here can never really understand how two weirdos found each other on a Final Fantasy forum and somehow made lasting connections and built a really beautiful life together. But you all were here, so you get it. We were so so lucky to have had EoFF in our lives. 💛

I’m gonna make another post like this in just a few short years, when our kiddos will be the same age I was when I first started posting here. Del Murder just has to keep the lights on here long enough for me to do that.
