Anyone living in the eastern coast of the US will be intervened by the return of these buggers this summer. Anyone looking forward to them? Most likely not.
I miss cicadas. When I was young, I spent 3-7 on my grandparents farm in rural PA. Sounds of comfort.
Leave some shards under the belly
Lay some grease inside my hand
It's a sentimental jury
And the makings of a good plan
We don't get these here :}
This isn't the food forum.
You eventually get used to the noise and miss it when its gone.
The sound of cicadas is really relaxing to me. The closest we get in Sweden is crickets, sadly.
I will not be seeing them for something like 13 more years. Also, I hate them. Loud and annoying. They fly like idiots everywheres!
i love the sound they make <3
They hit my area when I was a kid and another time just a few years ago. I don't mind them at all. In fact, there were tons when I was a kid and I loved it. I'm not usually that crazy about bugs, but for whatever reason cicadas do not bother me.
I thought they were only supposed to come every 17 years or is that just an old urban legend? They came out when I was in 4th grade and it was awful. They were everywhere and one of them flew down my shirt once... *shudders*
