I've noticed there's not many characters that are the age they look. Selphie, Zell, Yuffie, Yuna, Rikku, Auron, Cid and Barrett all look like the ages they are given. Characters like Zidane look much older. I remember I refused to believe that Zidane was 16 when I first found out

To me, Tidus looks pretty much like what his age is.

i'd say tidus looked around . . . maybe 21 or sumthing like that, not 17 tho

It might say Tidus is 17, but I don't think he is. Never. His face is that of 15- His voice is that of 12(ish) his body is that of 22+ 19 would be an okay age for him and Yuna.

Why 17? Nearly every character in VIII is 17/18. Why have more?

if you take into account the ten years its been since Jecht disappeared, (he looks about eight or nine in the Zanarkand flashback FMV's) then he becomes about 18/19. then the hole travelling to Spira thing a thousand years later, so technically it makes him roughly 1019 years old

But it is quite common to use young looking 20 somethings to portray younger characters. Wasn't the entire cast of 90210 over 20 ?

He looked uber childish to me. I guessed 16 at first too. Then I heard his voice, and he became an 8 year old. Then...I saw how everyone was treating him, and he became a 5 year old :P

If Tidus and Squall...or for that matter Tidus and Cloud got into a fight, I'd expect Tidus to run away like a little chicken boy. I'm not even gonna go into Tidus and Sephi...

Except it wasn't a thousand years later. Dream Zanarkand existed contemporaneously with the rest of Spira, only far, far away in the middle of the ocean.
