Who are some of your favourite stand-up comics?

    I like Mark Little

    Louis C.K.

I'm going to see him next month for the Oddball Comedy Festival. A bunch of other funny people will be there as well.

    Jim Gaffigan and Jim Jeffries.

Tommy Davidson did a bit on Spanish Television that really cracked me up (no one else understood any of the jokes. sigh).

I've never watched Roseanne do stand up, but her sitcom was really great, so.

Both these people are definitely great. I am pretty bummed that Gaffigan won't be in the lineup for the day I'm attending.

Jim smurfing Jefferies is a god amongst men.

Pun intended. If that is a pun. I'm not so good at the comedy.

Patton Oswalt is my chubby soul mate.

Louis CK, Maria Bamford, Mike Birbiglia, Daniel Tosh. And I give no smurfs, Dane Cook's albums still make me laugh after like ten years.

George Carlin and Bill Hicks. I like comedians with dark material that try and make you think.

Most of their work is nsfw in general but here's a nice closer to a show, more thoughtful than funny:

Lee Evans is just a God in my eyes. I'll be going to see him for the second time later this year. He's so expressive and can be so hilarious without being too dirty.

I also love Lee Mack. Now he is dirty, but also bloody hilarious! I'm seeing him again for the second time in September. Last time I saw him I had a really embarrasing moment where the laughter had died down and I was still totally hysterical.

Rhod Gilbert is my third favourite. I can't explain the laughing fits I have had over this man. I have been seriously close to wetting my pants on several occasionans.

    God bless comedians!!!

Louis CK is the best thing in stand up and will be for his lifetime probably. he does what he does very well.

as a rule i tend to avoid stand-up comedy because a lot of it just doesnt sit well with me. the observational thing just isnt very funny to me 99% of the time (gee, fat people huh? lol) and a lot of comedians seem to have a gimmick and just stick to it all their lives without seemingly trying to evolve it

ofc carlin and hicks owned it tho

    Mitch Hedberg

he is one of the most under rated comics. if you haven't heard of him, he is well worth checking out!

Yeah, Mitch Hedberg was the bee's knees.

In a similar vain, Milton Jones makes me laugh a shedload with his one-liners, as does Stewart Francis.
