Couldn't they just call it "The Avatar" or "The Last Avatar"?

Ok guys, I get that David Cameron's Avatar came first (not just the film, but he did the script for around the time of Titanic and then gave up as there was no way to film it), but "The Last Airbender" is a poor name for a film in my opinion.

They could have at least given it one of the titles in my thread title! I mean come on, it's not like Cameron invented the word "Avatar" it's a propper word, no one should have copyright over it - it makes no sense...

I do think the title of the movie was a bad choice. But if you look at the rest of the decisions they made about the film, I'm not surprised they were all der der der about it.

I thought The Last Airbender was a pretty good name for the movie. But yeah that's about the only thing it had going for it. I would count it among the worst movies I have seen in the past 10 years.

I heard it was a complete bastardization of the series anyway, so the title isn't so bad I guess. But I haven't seen anything Avatar at all ever so what do I know.

watch both btw. If they named both films Avatar it would be okay but I don't think I've ever seen two films released in the same...wait they weren't even released in the same year!
