I have done a bit of reading and it seems like it might be better than it predecessor. The graphics look greatly improved, the music is going to be done by Yoko Kanno (If you go to the link above, you can sample the songs by pressing next and such. The main theme is beautiful in my opinion). I am somewhat excited to see when it comes out.

Yeah I saw a trailer the other week for it and it looks wonderful! any release date yet? or monthly costs?

I think sometime this year it is suppose to be released. According to Wiki they are still in Beta.

Current Status of the Game

The first Closed Beta has officially ended (29/11/06 11PM GMT+9).

Details for when the second Closed Beta and the Open Beta is not yet known. However, an event involving participants who missed out on the first Closed Beta indicates that 2000 of these people will be invited to the second Closed Beta. Details of who is in the second Closed Beta will be released on January 8th 2007.

As for monthly costs, I have yet to see anything.

lol, yah I have a friend that got in on the closed beta of this last summer... sadly he wasn't allowed to show me much.

I can't wait till this comes out, I might actually pay to play this... or not. XD

Anyway I'm glad to see an English website for this FINALLY!

edit... my god that song is amazing... T_T this brings a tear to my eyes, every time I hear something new about it... I spent a good few years playing RO with my friends, on a friends Private Server... the memories I made in that game, can never be replaced by another game. I miss it so much.
RO 2 really looks like a step in the correct direction for the series.

XD course then again, I'm one of those people that wishes someday we can live in online games... XD I'm all for a world like the matrix, as long as we are in control, and as long as we can do things we'd never be able to do in real life... lol

Some of the screenshots are just stunning... the draw distances are hard to believe... and I love how detailed the trees and background/landscapes are.
And if the website's music is any indication of the rest of the Music in game that Yoko is doing for it, man its going to have an amazing atmosphere! I still want to figure out how to download that song! Anyone know how?

Tsukasa, I know what you mean... XD the whole time I played RO, I was also watching .Hack//Sign and the other .hack shows I coudl find... so in a way, the two games/stories mixed together for me... RO is my .hack in reality... and this 3D RO2 really seems to be a step closer. Its just too bad we can't put on a helmet and feel like we really are in the game...

The only thing that could make this game seem any better to me, is if the .hack music artists did some songs for this... XD but thats not likly.

I used to be extreamly obsessed with online games... then I got a full time job, and a girlfriend lol... and now I have a lot less time for MMOs... I still LOVE online games, but because I have less time for that, I have gotten a lot better at managing my time, and not getting TOO stuck inside the games. lol Rarely more than an hour a night, maybe 2... lol
Although when RO 2 comes out in the states, I might be playing a lot on weekends... XD plus my GF will get stuck in it too... she loves these games. We'll have to push the computers and both play at the same time. wow, its sad that we are considering that... lol
