Site Staff Highwind Award
[q=Spatvark]An unexpected award to most of you, I'm here to present the Site Staff Highwind Award, where we voted for the best Site Staff member within the Site Staff. And of course, since there's no way in hell I'm going to win, I'm presenting it.
The idea of course, is that the rest of you EoFF members don't actually see most of what goes in within the Site Staff, all the hard work and effort I put in and other people take credit for. So, while winning the Best Site Staff award is nice, it pales in comparison to being awarded this by those who actually know just why you've received the accolade. Since the rest of you are just a bunch of ignorant hicks we couldn't give a flying smurf about. Weep as you accept the truth, measly peons!
Over the last six months, the EoFF site has changed drastically, with the new layout coding having been worked on by Samuraid, theundeadhero, Sepho, Baloki, Flying_Mullet and myself (though almost never at the same time as each other, causing much hilarity as one person would change a ton of code, only for the next person to revert it all and then do something completely different), and many sections being recoded to fit the new format. The question is though, whose work has been the most important? Who has contributed the most to the EoFF site within the last six months?
Of course, I won't win it since that'd mean they'd have to actually admit I'm just plain better than all of them, but when it comes down to it, deep down inside each and every one of you, you know that to be true. Spatvark is the grand daddy of everything and everyone! Even gracing those feeble minds within the Site Staff with my presence should be enough to warrant my winning the award, but alas, my ephemeral brilliance is far too much for their simple minds to behold.[/q]
You have no idea just how many times I had to reject the proposed speech by Spatty. xD BoB will probably post an uncensored version into his LJ at some point in the future, if anyone is curious.
Congratulations to Samuraid, for all the things you've done for EoFF. I honestly don't think I know all of them, but the ones I do know are awesome. They include setting up the Wiki, FanArt, writing the Eyes on News system... okay, after all the work on Ciddies my mind is sort of drawing a blank, but I'm confident there's more. Either way, you've been a huge help in pushing EoFF into being a more complete website, and I don't think we could have done all we've done without you. That says enough to me, and every other SS'er who voted seemed to agree that you deserve to be given the very first Highwind Award for Site Staff contributions behind the scenes.
