The games play completely differently and have different styles that are apparent. They just use the same graphics engine.

I bought it years ago when everyone who's buying the downgraded PSP port should have. Awesome game, I'm glad S-E is making Silmeria for PS2, I'll be sure to buy it day 1.

Given Square-Enix's DS support, I'd say a DS remake ala FFIII or ala DQIV PSX is more likely.

1up is a huge and reliable source though, they have many connections and probably knew all along that the game wasn't coming out in September. Square-Enix has not given is a specific release date yet...
