[The Triumphant Hero]

Before the Dissidents came, war was fought much differently. Soldiers from both sides took up positions and shot at their enemies. High-powered weapons were created expressly for this purpose – to crush the enemy faster through force. That was before the Dissidents. The Dissidents are a cruel race of creatures that seemingly come out of nowhere, utilizing people and resources to achieve their goal – the total upheaval of the world and all those in it. They win battles without a shot being fired, and achieve far more devastating effects than a bomb could ever do. The humans realized force couldn't combat this kind of enemy. To combat them, a group of forces was created to fight fire with fire. The Shadows – an elite group of assassins and mages, tacticians and speakers. They have already halted the Dissidents’ rapid spread and neutralized one of their men. Very few know of this group, or the forces they are trying to fight, and no one knows what the Dissidents really are or why they are here.

Background: Was born into the world of chaos. Is son of a ninja and a priestess. Is coldherted becuase his parents were always on the run from those who were against their being together. They taught him how to defend himself should they ever die. Well when he was twelve they really did die. He was gone to get some food and came back to see the blood drenched bodies. He was ready to cry when their killer tried to kill him. Ryudo used his psychic powers to throw him to a wall and used his dad's dagger to cut off his hands and feet and let him bleed to death. Buried his parents and was never the same. He took his mother's amulet and his dad's daggers hasn't looked back. He did what he had to to live and was caught by a mob boss. He was his slave until Ryudo couldn't take the constant torture and rape any longer. He used an ability that his mom told him only to use if absolutely necessary. he entered his boss' mind and blasted it turning him into a vegetable. He ran away and stole his parents' things back. He's wandered ever since.

Brown hair red scarf that flows over both shoulders. tight blue shirt that outlines my muscles. Matching pants that have feet in them so I never wear shoes. A vest that is gren with pockets inside and out. two belts that carry poison, antidotes, food, water etc. shorts that are also green . daggers on a cross formation on my back. an amulet with ruby and jade inside of it allowing me protection.

Accepted, but your role would probably be stealth specialist or assassin. Also, you may want higher magic and willpower if you want to be able to use your psychic abilities more powerfully and longer, respectively.

name: Richie hawkwind but prefers to be called hawkwind. (yes. hawkwind is one of my favourite bands and it also happens to be a good name!)

role: blazer. a very fast fighter with fire abilities.

equipment: flame imbued weapons. weapon of choice is two 75 CM long flaming short swords.

fire ring: a ring of fire extends from me. 1-3 would be a circle that extends about 1-1.5 Metres. 4-7 would be a larger ring and 10 would be more like a high wave of fire burning everything.

explosion line: an explosion goes in a straight line across the ground dealing quite heavy damage to anyone it hits. 1-3 would be a weak knockback and not very damaging. 4-7 would be powerful explosions and 10 would be trails of destruction.

fire speed: runs or glides very quickly leaving a trail of fire behind himself.

1-3 would just be plain flying. 4-7 would be faster flying with more fire making it more damaging and 10 is extremely fast flying in a fireball which can be controlled masterfully.

fire forging: creates weapons out of fire E.G. a fire whip. 1-3 weak flame weapons. 4-7. normal fire weapons. 7-10. powerful incredibly hot impressive weapons.

bio: good with magic and has a desire for more power.

he is half vampire which gives him his unnatural speed and also he doesn't like light and other vampiric weaknesses, they dont kill him like they would a normal vampire and also he isn't immortal like most vampires. he doesn't thirst for blood either.

description/personality: explosive and insane. enjoys fighting destruction and pushing people around. uses his powers at every oppurtunity he gets.

he wears mainly dark red and he has a huge dark red and black cape so when he flies he is confusing to fight in all the flaming chaos. he doesn't really have fangs but has deep dark red eyes.

i might edit the stats. could you describe what willpower and insight are?

Bio: Ku'Randai (cat person) , his father served in the army, but he was killed. He's from the technological city Kinsha, and has been serving as an undercover ganster, he's good, but breaks the law constantly.

Description: Has an earring on kitty ear, has a cut on eye, and he has white tiger fur with green cat eyes, burning with happiness.

Personality: Cats (naturally arrogant) is his peronality style, however, he's adventerous and talkative, kinda annoying, but outgoing and likeable.

A slicing horizontal blade of wind is thrown at the enemy when Scythiss swings his lance.

2. Charge Flurry
Scythiss is vulnerable for a period of time, but then unleashes a furious flurry of stabs and slashes at the enemy.

3. Seraph Jump
A light powered downward stab which can leave an enemy dazzled by its blinding flash of light.

4. Guardian Counter
Scythiss helps protect another team member, possibly taking a hit meant for them, but has the oppurtunity for a powerful counterattack. (I'm not sure if this one will be allowed).

Background:

A some-what grizzled warrior, he was one of the few survivors of an ill-fated battle which had quickly turned into a massacre through the power of the Dissedents. Having grown up in a travelling peddler caravan, he is no stranger to walking long distances. He once honed his fighting skills in the hope of being a champion tourney fighter, but now fights for a greater cause, and has learnt to believe that fighting for entertainment and enjoyment is to be despised. Although he used to be an open, warm-hearted man, his bloody experiences as a mercenary, and a great personal tradgedy involving the loss of his twin brother to the dissidents, have hardened him into a seemingly cold, ruthless fighter. He is not afraid to speak his mind, and it takes a lot to gain his trust.

Physical description:

Scythiss is a tall, well built man with short dark, grey streaked hair and surprisingly deep blue eyes. He has two striking horizontal scars down his left cheek, a souvenir of one of his manyh close shaves with death.
He wears worn dark brown leather armour over his body, with steel pauldrons and heavy gauntlet on his left arm. His right is more lightly armoured, but has a glove with small, blunt metal spikes on the knuckles. He has travelling boots which are rugged but surprisingly light, with solid steel caps on the toes.
He covers himself with a faded greyish black cloak, which he often removes for battle.
He also wears a tarnished silver key on a heavy chain around his neck, a keepsake from his brother, who gave it to him just before he died.
He still searches for the lock it opens.

OOC: Since my other RP is dead, and this one seems to have more interest than when I made the thread, I'll start it now.

All: Accepted, but Guardian Counter would more or less be the ability to take a hit without staggering as much and faster reaction time, so you will more or less be able to move a bit faster in a time of crisis and take hits and keep moving. And you are all in team "Gladius"

You are deployed to the city of Xelrion, and your intel says that the mayor is being controlled by Dissident forces, but the bad news doesn't stop there. They control most of the top officials, and it will be very hard to find the leader. You are currently in the town square, and most of the buildings radiate outwards from here.
