it has been nearly a month! XD where'd everyone go? i was gonna wait for someone else to post cos i did last one but nvm.

Nanaki and Aiden got close enough to see what was happening inside neibelheim and scoped it out. It was now a highly advanced mecha. it expanded greatly from where neibelheim stood in their own world. Mt. Nibel was hidden behind it's skyscrapers and mass of pollution and traffic, and the city stretched as far as rocket town. The sounds coming from this eyesore were deafening, with alarms and sirens blazing constantly, and armed guards patrolling the streets. but at least one good thing came of this . . .

Nanaki: "down there, they've built a bridge over the river leading to rocket town"

Aiden: "this'll be easy! let's go!"

without another word the two headed for the bridge, whilst keeping distance from the city itself so as not to draw attention to themselves . . .

Vincent had arrived at where Lucrecia's cave stood in his own world, but was faced with a solid stone wall. The lake which should have been to his side was not there, just a sheer cliff down to an unfathomable blackness. It was evident this had been drained a long time ago, and this in turn had prevented weathering from creating the cave. It was then that Vincent stopped and thought for the first time about what he was doing.

Whenevr he thought of lucrecia, his immediate reaction was to head here. now that he was thinking clearly, it was a stupid mistake. if Lucrecia were still alive, why would she be here instead of leading her own life? Vincent had left his comrades to follow a selfish goal, blinding himself with his own faith.

Vincent: "Nanaki!"

Vincent turn and ran back in the direction he had come from. Lucrecia could be anywhere in this world, and finding her would be a mammoth task that would have to wait . . .

Inside of their base were many experiments. It seemed as if thy were experimenting with gene splicing. "They are much worse than I believed. They are making super beasts." I couldn't just leave these beasts t be tools of war, or to become my enemies. "This place. Must be blown up."

"HOw are we supposed to do that. The walls seem to be very resistant." To show what I meant I summoned a fireball and shot it at the wall. Not even a scorch mark was left.

When they reached the bridge, Aiden waited behind while Nanaki scoped it out. the bridge was deserted! no guards, no security chacks, just a few crates randomly dotted around the bridge. it obviouslyb hadn't been used for a long time. After one final check, Nanaki signalled to Aiden, who took a look around himself before catching up.

The bridge creaked and rocked as they walked across it, causing them to tread gingerly across the parts of the bridge that still looked stable. Half way across the bridge was a delapidated canopy which looked to serve some purpose at one time, as it looked like it once projected a sensor across the bridge. It no longer hummed with power now though, so Nanaki and Aiden continued onward nontheless. However, this was to be a mistake . . .

As they stepped through the canopy a siren sounded and a bright flashed above the canopy. The siren was deafening and could easily be heard from miles away, but Nanaki and Aiden were directly underneath it, which caused them to cover their ears. Even with the sound drowned out, they could still hear the warning being yelled from the broken alarm system.

"warning! warn . . . no insig . . . ound! intrud . . . ert! intruder alert!"

Nanaki and Aiden looked around and braced themselves for the worst . . . but nothing happened. no guards came, no traps, just the siren which might as well have been a whisper. They both looked at echother, smirked at their good luck, and continued on. Aiden took another glance back at the canopy as they were leaving to see a machine whirr into life.

Aiden: "Nananki, we're not leaving that easily"

A long abandoned machine stood before them, about ten feet away. it looked rusted and was obviously lacking any recent maintenance, but the two of them prepared themselves nonetheless. It raised it's right arm, which boasted and impressive mounted rail gun, and pointed it at them.

Nanaki: "move!"

The 2 ducked to either side and ran towards the robot. however it maintained it's targetting on where they had been stood. It struggled to keep up with their quick movements and its reactions were severely delayed. Nanaki and Aiden launched themselves at the robot, and when Aiden sword struck it's armour, he discovered it's hidden weapon.

Its body was wired to emit an electrical shock to anything that made contact. this shock was amplified by Aidens sword and sent him hurtling across the bridge, landing on an insecure piece of metal and falling through.

Nanaki had already struck the robot at this time and had felt the power sahoot through him. he lay at the robots feet, struggling to bring himself round. This moment of weakness was exploited by the robot, who place his foot on Nanaki, pinning him down with it's weight. The robot raised it's left arm over it's head, which was equipped with a blade, aimed it at Nanaki's neck brought it down. Nanaki's world plunged into darkness as the clang of metal on metal was heard . . .

Zack peered at the mutated things in the nearest cage. There was an empty feeling in the bottom of his stomach. He was all for the idea of blowing this place to hell.

"Um..." he looked around, unsure if the blatantly obvious was a really stupid idea, thus being rejected before even considered by his companions.

"How about we take those barrels of chemicals there and blow them up?"

"Let's just hope it will be enough." I roll a barrel in front of these sad creatures. I randomly place barrels through the base. "Zack how do we know if these are even flammable?"

Zack shrugged and gave a sheepish grin.

"I uh...." he coughed, garbling his words. He flashed them an embarassed look, managing to look mischevious as well, a remarkable feat.
