Well that proves it.
I was just about to have a rant about people being misunderstood before I read that. I think that's just a bit silly really. The whole concept of emo baffles me and amuses me anyway. 'Emotional rock'? So all other rock is lifeless? Go figure. If, on the other hand it's emotional because every song involves a break up or rant about life's troubles, then that is SO deep and meaningful I think I might just soil myself right now.Quote:

Personally, people who listen to REAL emo aren't annoying, it's the Simple Plan/Good Charlotte ttly preteen punx emo kids who bug me.

And yes. The irony burns.

Emo and proud. i don't mind other people but you wannabe emos annoy me. ha.
A good example of an emo kid would be Squall. Every time he rolled around on his bed in fetal position, complaining about how his life sucks, I imagined that he was listening to Linkin Park playing in the background.
And people who enjoy labeling and consider it appropriate to judge others as "posers" or any other such thing annoy me. Isn't it interesting how that works out?Quote:

wasnt he self-proclaimed punk rock straigth edge or something? dont think it was emo but could be wrong.
Yeah, something like that. All I remember is that he made about 5,678 threads saying, "DONT ATE TEH MET!!!!"Quote:

Geez... I didn't know what an emo was until this evening. The label is unfortunate but reading this thread was enlightening anyway.....
Sometimes I'm emo... I guess... some of the descriptions are delightfully vague, like a horoscope that always applies to whomever is reading it.... In that case, we're all emo from time to time.
Today I was trailer trash casual, yesterday I was wannabe goth, the day before I was granola... tomorrow I think I'll go Wayne's World. It's wonderful rolling out of bed and knowing I don't have to be in a box for the next 24 hours... I can dress and act however I feel that day.
