#1 Nation: The United Realms of Vanian Government: Monarchy Leader: King Pent Semirhage Capital: Verindain Religion: There is no official religion of the nation, though certain events, such as crownings and weddings, follow the traditional planning of the Semirhage house. Entrance: Traders are free to enter the nation, on the grounds they acquire a trading pass. Trading passes can be acquired at the country's borders, upon which they are sent to Verindain. Once in Verindain, they will be examined on the quality of goods, background, etc and a pass will be awarded to anyone who meets satisfactory standards. Lords, ladies and anyone holding considerable power in another nation will need to announce their entrance to the kingdom at least 4 weeks in advance, along with the purpose of their visit. Normal people from countries at peace are free to enter the borders. People from a country at war, however, will have to be checked over by guards at the Vanian's borders to ensure the safety of it's citizens. (Please note: All of those regulations are not yet in place, but will be fully implemented within the next year) Exit: Traders are free to come and go as they please, provided they have a trading pass, or will be escorted out of the borders should they fall below the standard required for a pass. Native citizens of Vanian, or of it's allies, are free to exit as they please. However, in a time of war, citizens who are able to fight may not be allowed to exit, should conscription come into place. It's pretty safe to say, that if war came, all borders would be closed off. Lords and ladies can leave as soon as they have had their audience with a member of the royal family, or have seen to their business. You can also feel free to include the following information National flag: See attachment. National animal/bird/plant/flower/etc: N/A at the moment. Any laws: *will be added at a later time* Voting: N/A. It's a monarchy. Background: Vanian was created by the alliance of several minor houses who were at war on the continent. The houses of Semirhage and Tilgraine eventually became allied and to seal this, a marriage took place between Nasin Semirhage and Rie Tilgraine. This marriage forced the Tilgraine house to accept Rie's husband's surname, fortifying Semirhage's power. The new house eventually swept aside the then most powerful house, Tyrell. A lot of bitterness still remains from the Tyrell house, often claiming that the marriage was a sham, and merely a plot to destroy the Tyrell house, despite it still existing today, and having some of it's members in medium level jobs in running the country. The remaining houses, San and Efferon, fearing the same fate as Tyrell, made peace with the Semirhage house, and a unanimous decision between leaders from the houses of San, Efferon and Semirhage placed Nasin and Rie in power. Upon Nasin and Rie's assassination by an unknown assassin (believed widely to be of the Tyrell house), their eldest son, Pent Semirhage, was crowned king. | | Nice country, Heath. I have a question though. Is there a limit to how long one can stay in Vanian? |

| Site Staff | Rye, I like the lyrics in your signature ![]() Anyway, your question. Lords and ladies are allocated a time limit of 2 weeks after their final audience with the royal family, in which to spend in Vanian. Extra time can be applied for, but permission will need to come directly from the king. People with little or no power can apply for citizenship as soon as they enter the borders, provided the guard's initial checks reached satisfactory results. Traders, once having access to a shop/stall/building/whatever where they can do business, will be able to stay in Vanian, for as long as wanted. |

| Site Staff | Sorry to double post, but I thought it was bump-worthy. Anyone who wants to join Vanian may have the option of being head of a house. Obviously Semirhage is taken by myself, and Tilgraine is non-existant any more, but the position of Efferon, San or Tyrell's head of house is avaliable ![]() |

Oh, yeah! That's another thing I have to implement, Clans. Thanks for reminding me, K. |
