#17 How can you not see how those lyrics are emo? "So cut my wrists and black my eyes" It doesn't even get much more emo than that. "So spill my blood (SPILL MY BLOOD)" Emo. As well as like every single line in those lyrics. I don't know how to explain it any further, its pretty much common sense to recognize what is emo and whiny and what is good. |

| | Way to sterotype. I'm not even going to argue. If thats "emo" then bands like metallica (who have songs about suicide) must be emo too, right? Get over it, if you want emo check out the bands that I listed. Those are emo. An emo band is an emotionally charged HARDCORE band, that goes through sudden emotional changes or different emotions while performing. Singing about "cutting my wrist" does not make them emo. Let me guess, you think bands like Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday are emo too, right? Last edited by Black Mage FF1; 11-23-2006 at 10:10 PM. |

| Banned | The lyrics from Rites of Spring are almost identical to those of Hawthorne Heights. They're whiny and suicidal. They don't shut up. All they do is sing to be pity whores and cut their wrists. And if you actually READ the Hawthorne Heights lyrics, it's pretty smurfing obvious that they're going through some emotional stuff. |

If you actually look, almost all of Rites of Spring songs are like that. Hawthorne Heights are not, they have a few. And if having some songs with emotion makes a band emo, then pretty much every every band out there is emo. Anyway, I'm done arguing. I can tell you're one of those ignorant people who assume that because a band has a high pitched voice that they are emo. Or because they have girl pants or whatever. |

| Banned | No, I'm one of those people who think a band is emo because they're whiny and they don't shut up. |
