#9 I hope the Heat win. I think Dallas will take it all but I think the Heat are the team to beat(This doesn't even make sense). They beat on the Nets like they were garbage. Detroit barely squeeked by Clevland and should be a little tired still. Dallas vs Suns....DALLAS. Dallas should have been the Number 2 seed due to their record and they beat last years champs to move on. The Suns have their hands more than full and I think it will flood out everywhere. Heat Vs Dallas is the final game and the Heat will take it in 7. |

| | They are but they still hammered them hard and got the rest those 30 year olds need. Also coming off of a series where you obliterated the other team and then see the other team struggle against their oppenents give you more confidence and may have exposed weaknesses in the other team that you had not thought of. |

| | The Heat will win game 1 of the next round, and have a slim chance at winning one more game after that, but you can't go wrong with D-Troit in the east. the Heat don't have anyone as good as LeBron James to take on the Pistons' tenacious defense. Wade might do well, but without a Shaq that's at least 5 years younger, no NBA Finals for Miami. Detroit is talented on both sides of the ball and has playoff experience to boot. In the west, there's no contest. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. In past years, neither of these teams had any defense. Dallas scraped some up from somewhere, and now they're the team to beat in the West. If Phoenix had Amare Stoudemire, this would be a much closer series, and I might give the win to the Suns. I give them props for getting this far without him, but they will advance no further. Now, the Finals. Pick 'em. I want to see how the Mavs are playing in the Conference Finals before I pick a champ. |

| | i wish that the lakers was still in it, but i think the pistons will win mainly because of their experience and the fact they are without a doubt, the toughest team in the nba at the moment. i think the mavs will kill the suns, and the pistons will take the heat in a 4-2 series but the pistons will come out on top. ![]() |

| Former Staff | The Heat... taking it all? Give me a break. Shaq is old and they haven't played a good team yet. Detroit is the best team in the east and will more than likely make it to the Finals again. In the west, the Mavs are the best team. The Suns beat them last year, but they don't have Amare. I don't think the Suns can beat the Mavs this year, but the series will sure be entertaining. I don't think the Mavs can beat Detroit, though. Damn Detroit. |

| | I would hope that the Suns would win. They got to play two sub-50 win teams to get to the conference finals, something that I'm not sure any West team has ever had to do in recent memory. Nash is getting tired. He admits it. He won't get 3 days off for this series like he did for game 7. He'll wear out. The Mavs are stronger and healthier than they've ever been. Mavs in 6. Plus, you know... they actually play a lick of defense. The Pistons will beat the Heat in 5 or 6. And the Mavs will beat the Pistons. They also play no defense. And they hardly beat the whatever out of either. They struggled with both, and if Nash doesn't get 3 full days off, I think the Clippers take Game 7. Sounds identical to the situation between the Mavs and Spurs. That's not the way it worked out. The Mavs knocked the ![]() ![]() ![]() out of the Grizzlies and the Spurs struggled against the Kings, and that really didn't change the way the series worked out. The two teams were extremely evenly-matched, with the Mavs having the superior depth and athleticism and as a result of it taking the series, even with inferior experience. |
