I think we need to stick a bunch of guys in an old car and have them beat on pots and pans with wooden spoons for a few hours. Record that and abolish every other form of music known to man, and kill anyone who says they don't like "New Age" pot and pan banging. Problem solved.

Oh, and I hate emo music too.

That's another thing I forgot to mention in either of my posts. What's with all the sub-genres? Add a certain chord to a song and all of a sudden it's not rock--it's some creature called "punk-alt-goth rock!" Why must people label everything?

an explanation of emo. emo was a splinter of punk. it was more focused on melody and had more emotional lyrics which weren't just based on angst.

at one time jimmy eat world were emo. and they represented what emo was. then jimmy changed. they got all pop. but they were still called emo. and soon all bands that sounded like jimmy were called emo. even though they sounded what jimmy now play compared to what was emo.

so it all became skewed.
