It was your stand Will Ferrell movie. I enjoyed it purely because some of the lines in it were funny (most of them belonging to John C. Reilly). The ending, shortly after the credits began, was pretty good though.

All-in-all, it was just the same as every other Ferrell movie.

Which isn't a bad thing, especially if you realize by now Will Ferrell's not gonna branch out anytime soon.

Stranger Than Fiction certainly wasn't a typical movie that you'd see Ferrell in.

This movie was terribly written and was driven by an almost non-existant plot but I went to see it for free with a friend who works at the movies so I'm not complaining. A few cheap laughs here and there.
