It's that time again: NFL and fantasy football season. I have started the league for this year on Yahoo and people can start joining. Post here if you're interested. Please note that we're interested in people who will pay attention throughout the season.

Right now there's only one league with a max of 14 teams. If there's enough interest I can create another league. Long-time returning members will have priority for the first league, but there will be more than likely be openings.

There's 8 teams signed up now for 14 slots. There will probably be a couple late-coming oldbies, but I don't think there's many consistent players left, so there will be at least a couple of open slots in this league. If you know football and are willing to stick around for the full season and at least try to compete, post as such in this thread. Head-to-head fantasy football is a bit more luck-based than other fantasy sports, so anyone can win (as shown by Del, a long time player, going 4-10 for last place last year... well, maybe he just sucks ).

I'd be interested in taking part, since none of my friends care enough about the NFL to join a league with me. I've only been following the sport for a couple of years, so my team will probably get embarrassed every week, but hey, every league needs one of those. I think I know enough to hold my own, but it's cool if you want someone more experienced to make things more competitive. Just thought I'd declare my interest, anyway.

As long as you try with at least minimal effort (which means logging in at least once per week and not trading your whole team away for nothing), I for one would be fine with you. If you can manage that, I'll send you the league info for you to sign up. We have 9 teams now (would be 10 with you), and I think we've about run out of the regular players. A few newbies are fine, and helps to keep the league filled and fresh.

I definitely suck more at football than baseball. Football is a lot more about luck, too.

I might let Yahoo autodraft my team this year.
