| | I guess I don't have similar tastes to anyone here! Besides like Cz. My favourites are:1. Devendra Banhart 2. Joanna Newsom 3. Of Montreal 4. Female singers such as Feist and Emily Haines and throw in some Broken Social Scene there. 5. Man Man. 6. Sufjan Stevens. 7. Xiu Xiu. 8. Clint Mansell (one of my favourite composters) 9. Alexandre Desplat (another one of my favourite composers) 10. It's a throwup between Bright Eyes/Brand New for the last one. That should give you an idea of what I listen to. It's out of order for the most part, I just filled it in as I thought of it. As for songs, 1. Joanna Newsom - Only Skin 2. Clint Mansell - Death Is The Road To Awe 3. Brand New - The Boy That Blocked His Own Shot. 4. Mirah - Recommendation. 5. Of Montreal - We Were The Mutants Born Again With Leafling. 6. Xiu Xiu - I luv the valley, OH! 7. Man Man - Van Helsing Boombox. 8. Sufjan Stevens - Palisades/Decatur/whatever's on Seven Swans (I forget the whole name) 9. Bright Eyes - Messenger Birds Song. 10. Cliff Martinez - Don't Blow It. These are the songs I listen to the most I think. |

| | My tastes are quite predictable. A large base of popular modern rock music with some indie leanings and a smattering of post-rock, folk etc. I'd love to flesh out my library a bit more and get some more diverse music, but I don't really have the cash. I can't rank my favourite bands, but the list would definitely have to include The Beatles, Radiohead, British Sea Power, Interpol, The Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Bright Eyes, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Velvet Underground...gah, starting this list was a bad idea. There's no way I can come close to picking a list of favourite songs. ![]() |

| | "SIDcore and VG metal" Genres I never heard before! -Whips out notepad- Anyways, about the Alesana, if you think that's screamo, listen to this little-known band named Saetia. Sounds a lot different. ![]() It's really raw, they basically don't alter their music through machines in the studio. I guess "definitions" chsnge over time, but it's always good to look back on the pioneers and roots; Becuase without them, we wouldn't have bands, and artists, at all. Back on topic, I can NEVER have a favorite song, or an artist/band. I'm too ecletic. :P MsHorrorwood’s Journal – Stats, ecleticity and numbers, oh my! – Last.fm Last edited by MushroomZOMBIE; 07-21-2008 at 07:52 PM. |
