#97 I was wrong about Spain tonight I admit. They deserved the win against an Italy team who never stepped up a gear from the group stage like I expected them to. Sorely disappointed by Italy. |

| | I wanted Italy to go through before the game, but then I was expecting a lot more from them. Despite their negative reputation their games weren't too boring generally at the World Cup, not least the great semi-final against Germany. Today though they seemed happy to conform to their worst stereotype. By the end I did not really want them through XD I think what it mainly proves is that Donadoni is no Marcello Lippi. |

| | Every team that wins a major tournament usually has one game where they were 'lucky' along the way - and Turkey were a little fortunate in previous games (though not to belittle them, after all it was mainly them not knowing when they were beaten). The best team doesn't always win, but we all know that, it's just how football is. You score more goals or tough crap. |
