| Before posting in this forum, please check this thread to see if your question is already answered. There are a lot of simple questions that gets asked frequently that you can find here. How do I get a little picture under my name? To get your avatar, click on the User CP link. On the left-hand side of your CP, go to Edit Avatar. From there, you can either select from one of the pre-made avatars or upload your own. Uploaded avatars can only be up to 60x60 pixels and max of 6.0kb in size in .gif, .jpg, .bmp, or .png format. How do I get a picture in my signature? First, make sure your picture meets the requirements listed on the Edit Signature page: A maximum width of 550 pixels. A maximum height of 250 pixels. These include any text in the signature outside images. Total file size of all images combined must not exceed 50 KiB (51,200 bytes). Any signatures not following these or any signatures with questionable or problematic content will be removed/edited by staff, and you may have your signature editing privileges temporarily disabled if this happens several times. Then, get it uploaded to a host. Images linked off your hard drive will not show up on anyone's computer but your own. The one question that always gets asked in this step is, "Where can I get a free host?" Check out the Signature Service thread and see if anyone on there will be nice enough to host for you. Most usually are. Once that's out of the way, go to your User CP, click on the Edit Signature link, and use the img tag, like so: <img src="http://www.yourhost/path/to/your/image.jpg"> Alternatively, bbcode can be used. For more on bbcode, check out this page for code and usage. How do I become a Cid's Knight/Recognized Member/Site Staff/Senior Site Staff/Administrator? - Cid's Knights are the moderators of the board and are chosen by the staff. The usual response for becoming this is "don't call us, we'll call you." Earning the trust of the staff, being productive on the board, and sticking around for a long time are a good way of getting in, though at any given time the staff has just the right amount, and unless someone steps down, there aren't many openings. - Recognized members are people who are recognized for being trustworthy or contributing to the forums. - Site Staff are people that have actively contributed to the frontsite of Eyes on Final Fantasy - if you'd like to get involved, check out the Site Staff forum! - Senior Site Staff are people that have gone above and beyond when contributing to the frontsite. - Admins are limited and are based on the same situation as Cid's Knights. How do I get text under my name? If you're not referring to the titles of the previous section, you must be talking about Custom Titles. Custom Titles are given to users after eight months of activity on the forums. Once given, you can change them by going into your User CP and editing the Custom User Title in the Edit Profile section. How do I use the chat room? There are two methods for this: Go to Chat - Eyes on Final Fantasy - Largest Final Fantasy Resource Online and use the Java client to connect - or - Use an IRC program like mIRC, Trillian, or Gaim, and use the following fields: server: irc.eyesonff.com port: 6669 channel: #eoff How do I post in User Notes/view my own User Notes? User Notes are restricted until you have been registered for three months. You can access them by viewing your or another's profile and clicking the View link in the User Notes section. edit: The restriction is you can't post in others' notes until three months, but you can in your own. You can still read others' though - cl_outHow do I change my name? PM Leeza or Del Murder with your request. Do not PM a Cid's Knight! Only administrators can change names, and you have to keep your new username for one year before you can have another name change... if it's approved. What is the "wiki?" The wiki is a user-made tome of information regarding the forum. If you want to brush up on your EoFF history and find out who's who and what's what, I recommend reading it. Where can I view my post count? You can't. EoFF did away with post counts long ago because they encouraged spam. People say that you can tell by searching for your name using the Search function, but that's innaccurate due to regular forum prunes. We're looking for quality over quantity here. How do I get into the Album? Currently, Samuraid is running the album, and he's got a thread in General Chat where you can post your image for him to add. Check out the announcements regularly, though, as the position and method of submitting images are subject to change. I think that's it. If I forgot or messed anything up, feel free to change it.

| Good work Hsu. Can you tell me how to use html? No, but Flying Mullet has provided these handy links: Here's a good link for how to do loads of basic html stuff: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/...ool/index.html. And here's a link to a list of html tags, just as you requested: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/...ml_cheatsheet/. [edit- Lycos closed down its l33t webdevelopeer pages, but there's still the good ol' http://funky-chickens.com/ and http://lissaexplains.com/basics.shtml to learn HTML basics and if you want something that isn't as childish and a little more indepth, http://www.w3schools.com/ is both of these. -rubah]
