Something's wrong with the broadband.

I have a ADSL broadband connection, it's 512 / 256kb conncetion. It has been going fine until recently, I'm only been downloading at 5kb/sec when usualy I download at 50-60kb/sec. I'm going to get my dad to look into this, but it just seems that it may have something to do with the way we've set up the connection.

We have the ADSL modem connecting to a wireless hub, which is connected into my computer, and my dad's laptop taps into the wireless connection. Maybe his laptop is taking all the bandwidth? I'm not sure.

Please give me some advice, something to try to get the speed back to date.

maybe you are downloading from slow sources

No that's not it. Anyways, I contacted the ISP and the guy said that it is probably the network that they use that's making it go real slow, so he's going to send queries and such to them and get it all sorted out. Because everything else is fine.
