Finding a good avatar - besides the splendid forum defaults, of course - can be a real challenge sometimes.
Maybe this thread can help those who, like me, are searching for that special something to add a little flair to our profiles.

If you're looking for something obscure, something rare, or maybe a wholly original avatar, just post here and see who responds

As for me... I'd be mighty grateful if someone could find me an avatar image of Atticus Finch from the film version of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Eyes on FF avatar size limits:
Maximum of 60 x 60 pixels, up to 5k.

Well there's this picture of it. If you don't like this one just type in "To Kill a Mockingbird" in google image search and a bunch others will pop up.

See that laughing Iori in my signature? Is it possible to make that small enough to make it an avatar and still be legeble? If so then help a guy out.

I'll be able to make a great avatar from that one. Already tried a Yahoo image search, but nothing good came up.

Joel, if I had any idea how to resize an animated image, I'd do it. All the photo editors I have merely show the first frame, though.

I want an image of Sailor Erin from ff9, either fan art or screenshots. I did gogle image search and found one, but another one might be better, if it exists.

Hey Eest I have the official fanart book. I can scan in the picture. It wont be extremely high defenition, but it'll work.
