Community Map

At the moment I'm trying to make a map of people I know on a website and after looking at the Google Map API I've decided that that is far to complicated for my poor little mind. Then I remembered that this site had a rather nice little map for it's members. Right now I cannot get access to it though, the links wont work for me...

Anyway I was wondering if this was some generic code that I can get somewhere or if you'd let me use the code you created to make it. Either way, of course give credit to where it came from.

We use good old HTML to make our maps around here, for what your planning to do I'd recommend using Visitor Map, MySpace Map, Frappr Map - The most social maps on the Web.

Yeah I saw these while I was looking around the web but to be honest I don't really want something that complex. I also wanted something that people wouldn't have to sign up to and something I could edit by myself fairly easily.
