This is a very simple question

The star of the game was originally Mickey, but i don't know why they changed it, but they switched to an original character. Sora was based on Mickey, and you can see vague similarities between the two: they both have white gloves, BIG yellow shoes and red shorts.

I never would've believed it. I didn't know you were originally supposed to play as Mickey. THAT's why he has a Keyblade.
