| Cid's Knight |
#17 Okay, I'm going to set a deadline for signups as sometime on Sunday, 5/18/08. And so far there's a vote for items and player-chosen stages. Any other input? |

| Cid's Knight | True. It'd probably be hard to really weigh the pros and cons of which are worth turning off, though. Plenty of them can turn the tide entirely. It's probably going to have to be fairness vs. funness. The only item I can think of for turning off definitely is the fan, because it's such a bitch. But yeah... if we're going to be completely Fox News about this (fair and balanced), it'd have to be no items. Otherwise we'd have to spend pages debating the merits of certain ones and how they'd affect stuff etc. Except the fan. No smurfing fans. |

| | Basically, I think there are three sets of items. 1) Any item that people automatically run away from when someone picks up is a good one to turn off. :P The hammers and the star, specifically. The Home Run Bat can be cheap, but only if you suck. xD 2) Random items like Pokeballs and Assist Trophies. Some of those are overpowered and can really lay down some hurt. You're more likely to get something balanced or just plain weak, though, so these aren't so bad. 3) Everything else. I think turning off the type 1 items is a good idea in any tournament. |
