Has anyone else noticed Nintendo's odd obsession with Hand Bosses?

Kirby Superstar has Wham Bam Rock, a boss with two hands pulling off various actions, and a face with abnormally large lips.

Star Fox's Andross, whom normally consists of two hands and a face. The palms are the weak-point.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has Gohdan, a boss consisting of two hands and a head. The palms are the weak-point once again, but merely stun the enemy so you can throw a bomb in his mouth. This boss also appeared in the Minish Cap.

Super Mario 64 has the boss of Shifting Sand Land, consisting of two hands, but no face. The palms are the weak-point, and they try to push you off the edge.

And then we have Super Smash Bros., obviously, which have Master and Crazy Hand.

What's up with Nintendo and hands? o_o

Well, currently hands are the most important thing when it comes to games. After all, you traditionally play video games with your hands.

Maybe Nintendo has been teaching a lesson all these years, which they had been putting into text as well. "Take a break from games every now and then to rest your stuff."

So basically, having these bosses as hands says "Yes, these hands/your hands are strong and important!" Then having them as the weak points is saying "If you don't rest your hands, they will become evil and a video game character will destroy them! Take breaks every now and then to rest your stuff!"

You can do a lot of stuff with disembodied hands. They can float, they can poke, they can sweep, they can walk... they're very versatile.
